If you are talking about Michelle, that wasn’t a relationship. It was a crutch. Nothing more. Sid was consumed with loneliness, insecurity and more than anything GUILT. Because despite all the stupid conspiracy theories, he killed her. They both had a long history of violence and despite what you might think, she was not stabbed to death. She bled to death from a single wound. No one who stabs someone to death only stans them once. It’s multiple times. Add to that that she herself did not call for help. She bled to death over many hours. I’ve been inside the room she died in. It was literally 4 feet to the front door to the hallway. It is more than 25 feet to the bathroom where she was found. So, she knew she was stabbed by Sid. There’s no other reason not to go to the front door. Also Nancy was violent. If she was attacked by so,sone else she would attack back and scream the place down. Anyone who knows how victims of knife attacks fight there are always defence cut and slash marks on their arms and hands as they try to protect themselves. There are none. Both of them were junkie wretches who had a violent and dangerous S+M love life. They both had knives and Sid would often playfully stab Nancy and she would hit him too. This whole story is just a tale of two junkies responsible for their own deaths. That’s the truth of it. The only other aspect is the money. I believe a gay guy called “Michael’’ who lived on the floor above, came down stairs to get drugs and found Nancy. He ran out but as he went he took the money. Sid wasn’t even there. He was out at the methone Clinique. That’s another thing. He knew he’d done it. You can’t tell me he had enough sense and capability to get dressed and go down to the methodome Clinique but not notice all the blood and go for help. Of course he saw all the blood, but he didn’t go for help because she was still alive and he knew he’d done it. He knew he only stabbed her once and thought she’d probably be ok and he’d deal with any hospital etc later. That’s the truth of it.
It’s okay to be you. You don’t have to look and be like somebody else to seek validation. At times that extra effort to look like somebody else is so glaring. Takes away the focus from this meaningful content you are creating & sharing.
as someone who is an avid listener of sex pistols and a follower of punk rock, i agree that the impact of sid on the image of punk rock is great. but i love how sid's vulnerabilities have been portrayed, as it is often observed how he is portrayed as a villain when it was both of them who were really toxic for each other. well researched tho, you never disappoint.
The Sex Pistols were the first ever Boyband. They were literal Industry Plants. Can't get any less Punk than that. But it would be a disservice to say that they haven't been influential. I think the main issue with people idolising Is and Nancy's relationship was that they were the Poster "Crazy Couple". But deep down, it was just a Toxic relationship that was idolised purely for aesthetics.

The thing you talked about having someone in your close family diagnosed with schizophrenia i cant tell you how much I relate to you, I mean its just can get scary and very very exhausting. Its one of the worst diseases tbh. I have seen my closed one doing the worst possible things that included suicide attempts, heck that person was taken to tantrik and was tortured until I begged them to stop and finally got that person diagnosed.
The worst part is that any disease related to brain and person acting obnoxious related to the same is taken as though person has been possessed by ghosts and instead of treating the patient is taken to so called tantric.

As a rebel myself.....I think what majority of people trying to be a rebel forget is that they need to define limits for their own self. Orelse while collecting this tag of anti-image/rebel, you just gonna end up drowning yourself. And if people romanticise this kind of relationship.....I think they need to take a step back and re-define love for their own safety.
