In its first major defence exports deal, India has delivered today the first batch of the BrahMos missiles to the Philippines. This comes as Manila is facing growing Chinese aggression in the South China Sea, with the PLA and Chinese coast guard attacking Philippines' ships with water cannons in the disputed region. With the newly acquired Indian defence system, the Philippines can beef up its defences in the West Philippine Sea-- where Beijing has been trying to assert its claim. To our INDIAN Friends, be cautious in marketing your Brhamos to those countries that have deepened military cooperation with China like Thailand for example. Selling your world's fastest missiles to them is like giving China access to see and study your missiles since Thailand exhibits and shares knowledge of hardware with China in their exercises most of the time. India should set a screening approval for those interested in your Missile, similar to how the U.S. sells its top-of-the-line military hardware.
