I'm a quadriplegic, dependent on a ventilator and have a feeding tube. I've been living with ALS for over eight year. I use eye gaze computer to communicate. I'm very lonely. I found your channel after your interview on sbsk. You're very well spoken. All we can do is take life one day at a time. 🧑🦼
I'm working to live my best life, right alongside you! I'm a guy, about the same age as you. I've got a mood disorder that kicks my butt. But, the important thing is: Our mental illnesses don't define us. What defines us is our actions moving forward. I hope you enjoy your new living space. And remember, there are plenty of people just like me from all over the world that LOVE you and want to see you living the best life possible, so you're never alone.
Same here man, I've been dealing with motivational and anxiety issues for most of my life and it's not until the past 2 years I've been able to turn it around slow but steady. I'm currently at the first job I actually like being at and working hard to keep routines/healthy habits. Keep up the good fight, we can do it! ;)
I've just found your channel, because of the sbsk video. I just wanna say that you are a really brave, intelligent, loveable person! I know it is really hard to battle mental illness. I have severe ocd, and mood disorder, and i want to say that I'm so proud that you never give up. I also never give up and try to do my best every day! Know that you are important and valid and i want to send you lots of love! Never lose hope! Agnes from Hungary
So glad to hear the move went well John! Thanks again for opening up about your mental health journey 😊 hooray for new beginnings!! hope you, your friends, and your family have an amazing holiday break!!
I'm glad your move is mostly done and now you can settle in. I found it was really helpful for me to move forward with my mental health and even has been helping my physical health since I moved to a new town. I'm sorry to hear you also had bullying and trauma from school and church, I think talking about it helps so much because it eats away at us when we can't let that stuff out. And I respect that you are taking responsibility for things that you have done that your not so proud of, and are also moving forward to complete your parole, that takes a lot of work. Best wishes.
Thanks for taking time out from your busy day to share what’s been going on with yourself! I’m struggling with some problems myself and also feel like I’ve been losing friends because at times I feel like nobody is there for me to vent. I hope you find your new home comforting and Godspeed on your sentence! Love you & be safe.
Thank you for all you shared. It sounds like you're going in a great direction. I'm very happy for you. Hope the moving and settling in continues to go well. Take care.
I wish we could talk dude, I was diagnosed with bipolar year's ago but never treated and I didn't even know what it was, this spring I sure found out. I was making rooms in the woods and all kinds of off the wall projects, staying up for days. I finally got into a shrink in October I go back Dec 27 she spoke of wanting to put me on lithium . Do you take that? I have no one to talk to about my shit. I went to the e.r. they said I am scioeffective and have psychosis also. WTF .. lay that on me and send me on my way. Do you believe the hospital stays helped you? It's so cool of you to be doing this on TH-cam. Like I said you give me hope. Peace brother..Michelle
I have been diagnosed with Bipolar for years too, along with some other stuff, I am receiving treatment from a mental health professional with medication that is helping, and right now I'm doing outpatient therapy and group therapy several days a week for all my mental and emotional health things I deal with and that has been the most helpful besides the meds for the bipolar helping me to stay more stable. I found some Facebook groups for bipolar have been helpful at times too. One hospital stay I had was not helpful, but another one was more helpful. Depending on the hospital they may be set up only to keep you physically safe from yourself while starting you on meds, or they may offer therapy and groups, they are all so different it's kinda hard to know how each place will be until you are there. But it's worth trying different things until one helps.
excited for you and your next chapter!!! good luck john!

Keep up with this type of videos! You're a great speaker, if it helps maybe keep some footnotes/keywords at hand for what you intend to speak about.
