Early church believers were burned alive in Rome, and William Tyndale, who translated the Bible into English, also faced a similar fate. It’s not about how we are buried; it’s about how we live our lives according to His word. God can resurrect everyone on the last day.
Many believers were burned in fires, lost at sea, and so on. Our God can restore as He pleases, just as the earth will be destroyed by fire, He will make a new, better earth.
My mom, a Christian, was in a nursing home 4 years ago. She was in the late stages of dying. We were allowed to visit her daily. I saw that she was barely breathing and could not even respond to us. I could not even tell that she was alive. The nurses tried to assure me that they would know when she died. I knew she was going to be cremated, and i wanted to be sure that her spirit wasn't still in her body. So i prayed and asked God to show me a sign, when she dies, that her spirit left her body. One day, the nursing home called and said, "Hurry and get here, your mom is dying." I was almost there but stopped at a traffic light. I saw a gold liquidy substance coming up out of the roof of the nursing home. I watched as it stopped in the air above the street. It quickly formed, and i saw my mom being held, from behind, by an angel. The angel was a head taller than my mom. The angels feet were also below my mom's feet. They were both wearing gold spun gowns, i saw the weave in the gowns as i was somehow brought close to see, an open vision. Both of their faces and feet had a gold glow. Then they instantly shot up into the sky, so much faster than a jet.
I have all ready made arrangements for cremation and have major doubts as a Christian! Oh my what a relief to hear your answer complete with scriptures! Thank you so very much!
The Bible teaches nothing about HOW worldly funerals should be conducted. Just how and where people were buried during the different times and in the cultures where the different books of the Bible were written. Eg in the ground, under the cairn, in caves etc but no instructions on HOW they should be carried out. ♥️ The only thing the Bible teaches is that through God's work in Christ Jesus WE ARE ALREADY DEAD (Rom 6:7, Gal 2:29, Col 3:3) crucified with Christ (Rom 6:6, Gal 6:14) buried in the baptismal grave ( Gal 6:4) and risen with Christ (Eph 2:6) and that it is in HIM WE MOVE, LIVE AND BE (Acts 17:28) ♥️ Since the Word says in 1 Cor 15:44 "here a "natural" body is sown, there a SPIRITUAL body arises" and the physical body will not arise, it really does not matter how the old, spent body - turns to "dust" (Eccl 12:7, Ps 90:3, Ps 146:4) and is destroyed. ♥️ The grave is really nothing more than a MEMORIAL PLACE for those who are still alive. Probably because Jesus said to the man who first wanted to go back and bury his father "Let the dead bury their dead, but you go and proclaim the kingdom of God" (Luke 9:60) ♥️//

Thank you so much for clarifying the Bibical perspective of cremation. Most families opt for this so they may bury their loved ones in a family plot that is often several states away. It is prohibitively expensive to pay to have a body shipped over state lines. Both of my parents died in Fla and our family plot is in Vt. Thank you again for easing my mind!
God is good, merciful and kind. I believe he sees his Children's situations and knows not everyone can afford to be buried. I don't believe he wants us burdened with this, and what about Christians who die prematurely and havent made plans? These current bodies are not the ones we will take into eternity.
Ash to ash, dust to dust. People have been blown apart in war, drowned in the middle of the sea, eaten by animals after dying in a forest.. Do you think God turns his eyes away from these people? Amazing.
When Jesus died on the cross, he said it is finished. My salvation is not based on how I get buried. It's based on what jesus did for me. Dying for my sins.
Thank you so much. 21 years ago, I cremated my husband who died by suicide. We had three children 11 and under at the time. I could not afford a casket burial. Besides, on his suicide note, he requested to be cremated. It was after the fact that I was told that it’s a sin to cremate. Also, maybe you can post a video “Do all people that commit suicide go to hell” bc that is what I heard as well.
@@micheleallen1402 sorry for you & your kids loss. We don’t really know a persons conversations with God before they die be it suicide or otherwise. I saw a story on Cbn years ago where a woman's son was struggling with mental illness but was also a Christian. Well he commit suicide and the mother insisted that her son knew Jesus in spite of his suicide. So I shared this with my pastor in Bible study one time and he said that sometimes the struggle is so real but God remains faithful and that although he committed suicide he still very likely went to heaven. Also he gave the example of someone taking a bunch of pills and then asking God to forgive them for their sins and then they die, if it's sincere then you can believe that they are with Jesus but in those instances we just really never know. The only thing the Bible teaches is that through God's work in Christ Jesus WE ARE ALREADY DEAD (Rom 6:7, Gal 2:29, Col 3:3) crucified with Christ (Rom 6:6, Gal 6:14) buried in the baptismal grave ( Gal 6:4) and risen with Christ (Eph 2:6) and that it is in HIM WE MOVE, LIVE AND BE (Acts 17:28)
♥️
Since the Word says in 1 Cor 15:44 "here a "natural" body is sown, there a SPIRITUAL body arises" and the physical body will not arise, it really does not matter how the old, spent body - turns to "dust" (Eccl 12:7, Ps 90:3, Ps 146:4) and is destroyed.

The grave is really nothing more than a MEMORIAL PLACE for those who are still alive. Probably because Jesus said to the man who first wanted to go back and bury his father "Let the dead bury their dead, but you go and proclaim the kingdom of God" (Luke 9:60)

We're all dust! 😁
Absolutely not. I am being cremated because it is so hard to get grave space in uk.
