This is the prop balancer of choice for aeromodellers, had mine for twelve years , brilliant. Make sure you keep it in a bag, dust in the wheels acts as s brake over time. ✈️
More than likely the hub is out of balance or an area close to the hub... when it's balancing horizontally what ever part of the prop thats under the center line needs attention (usually closer to the hub
I have ordered my first raw TFL-438 to balance, you have said a few times you like it for the BJ24. I was wondering, should CNC props be balanced or sharpened?
The magnetic will be WAY more sensitive to the balance of the prop with no friction. The Du-Bro have more friction and are not as accurate but will get you close. You have to be patient with the magnetic one. Spend the time to balance the shaft perfectly first. Add oil on the shaft also for less friction. Most won't care for a perfect balance just close enough. 😉 Tip: I add another magnet on one side outside the shaft to hold up larger props.
I need to order another magnetic Balancer my pins are short from trying to get them balanced. The next magnetic Balancer I get will be the etti magnetic prop balancer, not knocking the one I have it's like 7 years old and seen better days. Your definitely right about the du-bro not being as sensitive as a magnetic Balancer almost impossible to balance a props smaller than 32 mm..

Nice! In the market for a prop balancer right now- this has made my decision easy! Thanks!
i have a large magnetic one i bought many years ago and works great.. mine is very simple but has a great design..
hey just a question when i try to balance a prop it goes straight across not where i could put it any position and it stays, so what am i doing wrong?

Thx for the quick response. Will give it a go.

Cnc props usually come ready to go.. You'll like the tfl 438 especially if you've upgraded the esc & or motor.
