I can understand the issue with Commander in MTGO, where there is no quorum regarding this or that and everyone gives 2 craps about "power level" - confusing a fun game with a pissing contest. I really like what you're trying to do with your decks and play experience for you and for us and I do appreciate it! Keep going mate!
Thank you for the kind words as ever. It might be an idea to adopt the mantra of “if you can’t beat them, join them”. Maybe build some stronger decks as opposed to trying to be “fun”.
@@tribalkai That depends on what would you like to do, old friend. Both have pros and cons, as anything in life, right? ;) - For me, I'll keep watching your content because a) I enjoy it and, b) I learn things I can apply on my my own decks.
what is this evening drop I'm getting from your channel? It's 6pm where I live and I'm so used to watching your videos in the morning's. Not complaining though. Thanks for the content!
As per usual I agree with your commentary about the state if the modern game. So in that vain, why not build build accordingly. Stax, Spellslinger, Superfriends, etc, etc. It doesn't have to be obnoxiously oppressive for it to be a fun matchup. Failing that, lean into an E.T.B. deck with things like Ghostway as board protection. Great video as ever.
I've been considering more stax pieces in my decks for the reasons you're considering: to slow the game down enough where we can "crash our toys into each other" (gem quote btw). Stax effects have an impact on the game, slowing things down enough to grasp knowledge of the battlefield, and largely ignore all those cards with too many words on them.
I think that’s fair enough as long as it’s not obnoxious stuff like Winter Orb. I wouldn’t consider it a stax deck if it just has a few “spells cost 1 more” effects.
The aggro decks that still seem to work for me are voltron (okinec) and/or hasty creatures with good power or have an ability that activates the turn they come in (Karlach). Those typically wrap up by turn 8, any slower than that and I’m probably not doing much.
The other 2 players not helping and actually preventing massacre girl from foing down blows me away. They were obviously creature decks and massacre girl is purpose built to kill creatures......like...its in the name
Some very weird decisions made during this game. I just have to shrug my shoulders and get on with it. Turns out it didn’t pan out for them. Who would’ve thought?
@tribalkai ruric is one one my favorites. Also have him and the rot cleaver in paper. Watch your stuff everyday. Would love to see umbris if he's online. Hit a rite of replication on him

Yeah the answer is to fight fire with fire really. Haven’t built a blink deck in a while. There’s some good options I’ll take a look at here.

The issue is playing MTGO, playing paper magic is way better to play battlecruiser since you can rule zero talk
That’s right. To play MTGO you have to be willing to play with MTGO players.

Ruric is hard to build IMO. I did and it didnt last long. Too much removal against RG to fight right.
