I was thinking to myself I hadn't seen any of your vids for a while (LKW days I think was the last I watched), even though I am subbed and have been for years. I guess it's a nice surprise to find over a years worth of videos to binge on! Damn TH-cam.
I've done this run (UK to Barcelona) many times, including the Carnet, but in a van - so nice to see it from your POV. Shame about the truck fairies!

AP-autopista (toll);A-autovia(free)Always lock the doors and double check if they are rly locked,even if you go 1 minute behind trailer.Also when you sleep,lock and use the safety lock too.

Hey Happy new year .Governments need to do more to stop Truck thieves .
Bandit country is Nimes, Barcelona Tarragona.
But there are are good secure parking places on the Spanish side just off the auotvias. I have had people try to rob me in broad day light parked in the middle of a car park with nobody else there.
They are always well dressed, have a mate in another car at the back of the area. Then walk over with a map pretending the y are lost.
We are usually gone by then, or I just show them a fairly blood stained crow bar.
You could tell getting robbed had effected you. The world's a lonely place when this stuff happens. Chin-up and march forward

Before that viaduct was put there it was a nightmare trip down into the valley and a long haul out of it.
I think u had the right idea of getting the boat to Dunkirk from Dover is faster than Calais cause coming out of Calais takes along time getting out. As if ur going ruins and chatrus and down to Orleans is easier to get to Spain than going via Paris
Some hgv drivers are scum. You go to a secure parking site and still get your curtains cut. It's only hgv drivers in ther.

Used DFDS to dunkirk but usually going to holland or Germany. Scott andrews had his fuel knicked in Rotherham so it's not just EU nowadays with the price of a tank everywhere.

Ive noticed you‘re using a vdo tacho.Can u explain how to use ferry mode correctly as im running into problems with it.Do you end ferry mode once on the boat and then start it again once disembarking? I start mine once going on then back onto rest, when disembarking boat symbol still showing then drive off get parked and put back to rest.Take time off with boat still showing then then end it.Basically its when to end it is what is causing me problems i think.Maybe a video showing how u do it next time you are going to use it?
It depends on how old your tacho is as there's two different versions of ferry mode now. With the older version the boat symbol is in the bottom left and I've been told you only turn it on once on the boat and it turns off as soon as you move but I had it on in the port and turned it back on aboard the boat. On the newer version the boat symbol is in the top right and that one has to be turned on as soon as you clock off it will then stay there the whole time and you manually turn it off once you've done 11 hours.
If the trailer was empty why did you not leave a trailer door open ?
Because I was still awake and not aware just how brazen some people can be.
