- This is from the late 2000's and shows the evolution of a mechanism we were trying to create. I've created hundreds of mechanisms, this one didn't make it. I was not doing Christmas for Gemmy at this time, but I still continuously created mechanisms for all the seasons.
You can see from the last video that it seemed to get worse as we went along. We added the springs in the nose and hat but the range of motion on the body was too great. I'm sure I had them fix that part but it still never got off the ground.
The sound was not the sound we were intending on using. Just something to use while we worked on the mechanism.
I tell people I've failed more than anyone I know. It's because I've tried more than most people.
What a brilliant idea for a Christmas decoration! I wonder why this one didn't make it. I presume the idea didn't work out 100% as you wanted it to.
This is probably my favorite prototype you have shown I just can’t stop watching it and everytime I notice something cool about it

It wouldv'e been a better detail if u added a goofy face on the snowman also some christmas lights tangled around him so as he is moving around lights will be flashing
Such a cool idea for a mechanism, it’s a shame this one didn’t take off. These are my favorite types of videos from you- great ideas that just didn’t quite work out.
I might remake this with moters springs and lights! And Styrofoam balls!
