Perhaps Karl's intention is that, though Richard would be a phenomenal bassist with the worst drummer in the world, with a drummer of Manu's caliber he is able to attain his highest level of expression.

Oh, quel splendide concert !! des musiciens excellents, prenant un énorme plaisir à jouer ensemble, et ils nous le communiquent si bien ! En passant, Richard Bona est un très brillant chanteur. Merci à eux tous et Bravo !! J'aime moi aussi.
Bona je l'ai vu à Vienne en accompagnement de Metheny à l'époque de "the speaking of now" il jouait de la basse, guitare, chant : j'me demande s'il n'a pas aussi préparés les repas : j'en ai encore les yeux embués.
Bien mieux qu'un brillant chanteur. C'est aussi l'un des meilleurs bassistes que porte cette planète.
Concert Tout de feeling et de délicatesse, couleurs,climats et écoute entre les musiciens...

Jeszcze kilka lat temu nie przepadałem za jazz music, ani za saksem czy klarnetem.... Po tym jak trafiłem i wbiłem się już wielokrotnie w atmosferę tegoż koncertu... to do dzisiaj często sięgam po tę muzę i ciągle odkrywam tu jakieś smaczki. Cała czwórka jest jak miód dla misia... mniam mniam. Szacunek dla Was

He's particularly talented...but Cameroon continues to produce excellent bass players....its something about our music. Bona has been really good blending into jazz.. Other renowned Cameroonian bassists: Etienne Mbappe, Guy Nsangue, Dikotto Mandengue, to name a few...not all into Jazz but excellent bassists
