I have 3 Alu-boxes. I like this system of organizing. As opposed to my wife's system which involves cramming every possible camping item into the boxes and then sitting on top to get the lid to close and never able to find what we need. You think I'm joking? Now the lids are bent and I'm pretty sure we've lost the water and dust tightness of the seals.
Its nice they did this, but I wish they would have made the foam thinner. A lot of interior space is taken up by the organizer. But great idea none-the-less.
There is a balance between the thickness of the dividers and the space taken up by the dividers. This plastic is more sturdy than similar products on the market but the plastic needs to be padded to offer any protective benefit. Folks that have gear that needs to be protected will likely give up a 1/2' internally if it means things won't be damaged. For tools, recovery gear, etc. save the space and skip the dividers.
