I liked the inclusion of the team overviews. (Without including spoilers,) knowing what Luke was trying to do really upped the tension. Gf!

With Luke's encounter AND ability luck I really thought it was going to be a sweep. Pat did amazing.
the fact that the head movements of Rayquaza there matched the voiceover is insane
I have an idea: you describe your opponent's Pokémon based on what kind of trainer would use them.
You see a water type, so a fisherman would use it. You see a flying type and a bird keeper would use it etc.
You can get creative, too. So you see a starter and you're like "A rival would use this."
That'd be awesome to see. Especially if they use the more unusual NPCs like Aroma Lady, Curmudgeon, & Golf Buddies.

I really like the Team Overviews before the fight, it's a really nice addition, I was always sad when I didn't actually get to see what a Pokemon was MEANT to do in one of these videos.

For future reference, most (if not all) trainers that have the black text box when you approach them usually have at least 3 pokemon
This is prob rhe most unique "then we fight" in awhile. Taking existing trainer's mons and making them work is so spicy. C: If I could make a suggestion....make a wheel of all the gym leaders, E4, and champions in the series; spin 6 rounds; and each round you pick 1 pokemon each trainer has used. Make it a historical 6v6 pokemon war. >:3
challenge idea, reveal your opponents pkmn choices to them one at a time in the order of your choosing but they can only hear what the next pokemon is if they give up the previous pokemon.

tera raids decide your team/ moves/ and tera type. spin the wheel and what ever type it lands on. you find that tera raid and have to use that pokemon and its set.
Mewtwo and Rayquaza jus chillin meanwhile.. lol

Randomized starter but each pokémon has the ability and movepool of another pokémon of your team.
I like this! I could see a slight twist being Battle up to 3 trainers or until you battle up t 3 pokemon typings. and then make a team based on those 3 types

Love the idea of taking suggestions from comments this was a fun one. Would be fun to try and do either a guess who game with pokemon where if after a set amount of questions they guess the pokemon they can have a perk or a battle ships game where you can both set up a board you get to choose some pokemon for yourself but if they manage to hit the pokemon and sink it you get a random nerf 😅 lots of board games you could try just 2 that I liked :)

Funny that you're playing with Luke because this idea came from one of his thumbnails.
You can either choose your Pokémon BUT have 20 IVS (or how ever many you want) OR your opponent chooses and you have full IVS
Idea: ask opponent if they want you to list starters on your screen from left to right or right to left. They can keep the first one or skip and pray for a better Pokemon. Skip twice and youre forced to take the last one.
Idk how fighting the black text trainers isn't the strat here. They always have bigger teams.

Idea after each Pokémon is selected a 1 in3 is rolled to determine who gets it, 1 says you get it, 1 says your opponent gets its, the last says you can choose who gets it. Do you choose a good Pokémon to hope you get it or do you choose a bad one hoping your opponent get its.

Btw, trainers with a black background speech bubble are the elite trainers of the area and usually have the most pokemon. 😎
Second idea only battle with gym leader’s Pokemon so you both pick a gym leader defeat then you get to use them(higher difficulty probably makes this harder but doesn’t matter)

Suggestion: guess the Pokémon after hearing it's TCG move
Can give a hint on its type or weakness though since TCG has Ice as water and so on it could still keep you guessing depending on the three choices available

You know, how about looking up what trainers have the biggest team? That way each of your 10 targets have a plethora of choices, so better chances of getting a big hit.
Next battle should be a stolen pokemon fusion battle
Rule one is the first pokemon thrown by the trainer is the host while the last one thrown is the juice. For trainers with a single pokemon have to be skipped
It would be cool to use this idea, but you couldn't change the Pokemon. You couldn't evolve or change moves, only level. This way it would lead to weird sets harder scouting
Battle ide, Pick all 6 before seeing them, so you pick left, middle or right for then look at them. Random abilitys and moves
Suggestion: we watch pokemon horizons, steal the first pokemon we see and then we fight.

Video Idea: Unknown challenge! GO TO pokemon arceus to the ruins where unows are. You need to catch 6 (there should be 6 spawned) if you will not catch 6 then you will not have full team. ! and ? works like joker. Than you will have 15 minutes to catch a team o pokemon that begins with that unown letter.

Wouldn’t drain punch be the same situation as Jet punch. Iron fist boosted its almost as strong as CC and you don’t lose defenses and gain back hp.
