In Tanzania, Africa, we began listening to Jay Z's songs in the 90s, but it wasn't easy. We patiently waited for the children of the wealthy to bring us tapes and magazines to get to know this icon. Today, we have TH-cam, and we're enjoying it.
Jay-Z actually grew up in extreme poverty himself. At one point, he actually had to sell drugs just to make ends meet.

I remember on New Years Eve 2011 when they were playing this through the speakers in Trafalgar Square in London with such an amazing atmosphere. I was 16 going in 17 just finished secondary school with all my friends wanting to be forever young waiting for the countdown to 2012. It was an amazing night :)

...I lost my dad a month before on August 5th...5 days before he turned 65. Cancer took him as well.
It didn't dawn on me until damn near my birthday that I was literally half of his life. Just remember like you said...no more pain. They're looking down on us and smiling, telling us to live our best lives every day. Bless you 🙏

This song just came out, my wife & I was celebrating our anniversary, just got they hiking, to a cave, to see the waterfall inside of it, it was hot, & probably abt hour before dark, & she said there is a low water bridge on the river where people swim, she Had read. On our way to that, a field had Elk in it, a lot of people stopped out looking at them, I went on by, got to the bridge, & a a man & woman was acting Strange at their car, looking at us, so went back took pics of elk, came back to the river bridge, & my wife said soMething is wrong , listen, & the man asked a little boy, where are they at, I don’t see them, & the little boy pointed, & said rite there, & rite there. So I took off running cause I was pretty sure what he was saying. Big guy hears me coming across the bridge, looks, & jumps in the water, as I got to the edge, I looked, & clear as day, 2 young boys face down on the bottom, & the big guy said help I can’t swim, so I dive in, & pull on boy up, & had to swim him, & his step dad to the bank, & I jump out, & run to get the other boy, & I’m wore all the way out, but I just asked GOD, please let me get thi sex other boy, I dive back in, pull him up, ‘ his eyes are wide open, like he’s looking at me, & lips are blue, I swim him to shore, hand him out to his stepdad, & he asked his wife where is this boy, shorts at, boy was nude! I go get people to do CPR, & they work on both boys, until paramedics get there, & take them off to hospital, I found out both boys never made it, this song reminds of that time. Every time I hear it. Oh, & dad said in the paper, him & park visitor got both boys out, & the 2 boys was diving down to get the others swim shorts!
I was wanted to find the real dad, & let him know what happened, but my dad said just let it be! So I did, when I hear this song, I think of them. A 9 yrs old & other was 12yr old.
