Hello Mr Dorer, great content!! Can you please answer my following have a question, so Final Action dates state that "other workers" category is open for cases before 08 OCT 2020. So if we file the perm application now(assuming we passed all sponsor hiring phase ) and lets say it took aroud a year ( since they are checking the perm files from march 2023 ) And if after a year later, "final action dates" goes up to oct 2021 ( those are moving slower than that for now ) does that mean i'll have to wait around estimately 2-3 years minimum, just to apply for second phase such as I140?

If I check the Visa Bulletin from October 2020 until May 2022 the date was always current, therefore the cases during those times are already processed. Does this mean, as soon as the October 2020 cases are filled, we see a huge move since the cases of those months have all been processed and there are none left to be worked on?
It is too difficult to predict based on the multiple factors that go into determining the cutoff dates.
Not necessarily, in Covid the people who applied outside US through consular processing could not get visas because of the embasay closures. USCIS didn't count them at that time. So all those applications piled up, and in 2022 June they are included and that's why there is a retrogression. It will not go away fast. It is gonna take time.
