East TN I think is the best part of the state for many reasons. Hopefully, those people who are moving especially for those who are coming from another state respect the history and culture of the state. I hope they learn their lessons and dont bring any baggage that makes them leave in the first if you know what I mean.
Let's add another big one for some folks - Shopping. All of the shopping (and eating, for that matter) options are available in Sevierville, Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. There are many people who enjoy visiting the area and hitting all of the unique shops and eateries that the tourist area offers. If you live close, it becomes a day trip or an easy destination when you have out-of-town guests visiting. Another one that could warrant a video is going to be history. Tennessee overall offers many opportunities to learn that many people would enjoy. Oak Ridge, the Trail of Tears / Cherokee experience, westward expansion and the Civil War has many things to explore. I always enjoy your videos and how you are presenting what East TN has to offer - keep 'em coming !!!
I live in Trade, Tennessee less than 25 miles from Beech Mountain and go skiing more then 40 days a year. Tennessee does have there own resort in Gatlinburg but the three resorts around Boone are all close to the state line and make an easy drive.
I grew up in for northeast corner of Tennessee by Johnson city and Kingsport. I am finally back living by Kingsport after having lived the previous 34 years in Richmond,va. I go out driving on the logging roads on weekends from Bristol up through Dennis Cove up by Hampton and to an mountain tain and then I also southeast up into viking and rich mountain located southeast of greenville,tn heading over towards hot springs,nc, it is simply beautiful driving in them logging roads through the Cherokee national forest. The crotch rocket motorcycle riders were very annoying this past Sunday driving from Bristol,TN on hwy 421 (the snake) up and over Houston mountain into shady valley. Those idiots were riding literally within 12 feet of my Colorado trail bosses tailgate. I as following a big suburban up the mountain which was holding up the glow of traffic.
Super informative. You have a comfortable and approachable style. Very authentic. If I were ever to move close to my son in Atlanta I would look you up for a home.
Windrock park in Oliver springs,tn they holds some national downhill mountain biking races. I found several videos on youtube you can go watch those events. It is not quite as good as world downhill races that are held in snow shoe,wv at the ski resort.
I’ll be contacting you really soon. Looking to move back up there. We lived by Heritage High School and had to come back to Mississippi bc I had to have a valve replacement. Interested in Townsend, Walland, Wears Valley. We’re interested in Land and building home.
Haha thanks. We have a young family right now and the wife likes taking the kids to the beach, doesn’t need to be the ocean. Lakes are usually less busy and windy anyway. A boat would be when the kids gets bit older.

I'll help however I can. I love that area. I actually graduated from Heritage High School.
Do you have decent beaches at the lakes? We moved from Canada to Texas and all the lake beaches in Texas are pretty sad compared to Canada.
We have a few. You’d be much happier with a boat.

We don’t need help getting people to come here 🤷♂️
