Oh my gosh! Did I have a heart reaction to seeing the NICU bottles. It is so weird what things just bring memories back after having a baby in the NICU.
My 1st great granddaughter came home at exactly 1 mo old. She’s a couple mos old now & will have heart surgery next mo. So happy for her health. I’m a retired nurse and honestly forgot how they treat gastroschesis. I liked how you explained it. Wow she did soooo well.
Congratulations on bringing baby home, you took her home on my dad’s birthday he is a special guy and not in the best of health he has heart and kidney issues please keep him in your prayers
My 1st great granddaughter was in NICU for a month too. Came home on her 1 mo anniversary. I’m a retired nurse and forgot how they treat gastroschesis. I liked your explanation, could visualize it. So glad she came home after a month. That month was exhausting for my grandson & his wife & this is their first. She has to have heart surgery in Sept. It’s going to be hard to go back to the NICU.

I exclusively pumped for 6.5 months. It’s probably one of the hardest things I’ve ever done. I still pump a few times a day but I’m glad we are using formula now and I get to spend time with my very active 8 month old. To every pumping mama out there.. you are amazing.

My daughter had premature twins at 29 weeks who spent a long time in NICU….they never took to breast feeding so she exclusively pumped until they were 9 months and used her freezer stash until it ran out at 14 months ❤️ it is a lot of work…she felt like the spectra pump emptied her breasts way better than the one she wore in her bra….be careful not to get mastitis from not emptying these fully….she used Elvie
Both my spectra and momcozy empty the same! My other portable one always seems to not empty me as much, usually miss out on about 1-1.5 oz if I use that one! 😢
