New stoopid heads should buy acoustic roots: live and direct immediately. The entire album is one take on s radio show, and front-back it’s an unbelievable record.
Also I don’t know if the OP is aware but Jared, yes the vibes are similar. Nowell discovered Stoopid when Miles and Kyle were in HS. Their first two albums (mostly thrash punk btw) were produced under Skunk Records, Brads label. They even completed/ produced a couple of songs Nowell left unfinished before he passed, the Prophet one i can think off the top of my head.

I first heard slightly stoopoid on the fox rocks show on channel 6 back home in San Diego waaaaaay back in the day I would maybe say the date would be about 1996 or 1997 but he'll I can't really remember but ive been a fan and faithful listener since that night!

I don't know why they call themselves "slightly stoopid"...even "doped" up, these guys have fucking genius composition and lyrics.
Well they are friends with members of the Grateful Dead and if they have the same sense of humor they did on purpose as a joke. I envy that spirit of no fucks given, make fun of yourself, some of the most humble actors, musicians, etc... make fun of themselves.

Why complicate something so simple? Chances are anyone that's negative on this probably are unhappy in life. No reason to tear down something or someone cause you don't understand their view. Listen to them talk and possibly make your view better.
