- “Sosna” ADMS is designed for engaging aircraft, helicopters, cruise missiles, gliding aero bombs, UAVs, and lightly armoured ground-based equipment. The complex is applied while escorting motor convoys on march and while protecting stationary objects, block-posts, aerodromes, bridges, armoured force vehicles and other equipment.
The advantages of the complex are: high security of combat operations; jamming resistance, high mobility and survivability; operation in motion; big ammunition load.
Zone of engagement by the range is up to 10 km, the altitude is up to 5 km. Ammunition load is 12 SAMs.

If this system is use on the BMP 3 dragun chassis it would be good vehice with good crew and ballistic protection
Nice. Mounted on the old MT-LB chasis, this girl is fully amphibious and all terrain. You can even pack a squad for point defense. I like what's coming out of Russian MIC factories these days.

Missiles are too big to waste on an AT missile.
Javelin does not spend enough time in the air to intercept with a sam. Targeting it with a laser or an autocannon may be feasible under certain circumstances.

Емнип ракеты с термоядерным есть в составе Хризантемы. Там ракеты тяжёлые,с дальностью до 5км.. А это ЗРК.. Профессионалы говорят...самый плохой инструмент -универсальный.

No anti personel capability? Not great in todays battlefield even if you are there to support IFVs and MBTs. Also when your missiles run out having some form of armament even if its just a 7,62x54r GPMG is better then nothing until you get reloaded.
