I have only been playing Miss Stud instead of 3 card for last few years gave 3 card a try again yesterday got quad 9’s won the minor on the progressive $3,300 best best win this year I’m so happy.
So you saved money not playing the 6 card bonus. But you have no problem dropping $100 a spin on a slot. I say either play the 6 card bonus or don’t play at all because it’s boring if you don’t.

It seems your best EV on 3 card is to only play the pair plus if the casino will allow you to do so
