I have been playing a lot of Starfield lately, mainly focusing on ship building, and your videos are excellent! These are my go to resource for interiors for the various habs. Thank You for these videos!
HopeTech for me. Dimly lit for good sleep, comfy couch with blankets and pillows, comfy bed, espresso machine, bathroom, and if you don’t have a ladder in it you get a navigation console.
The furniture depends on how you set up your ship. The taiyo in my ship has a navigation table with stools where that screen is and a table with 4 chairs on the other side.
I was also going to suggest to build these comparison ships with a companionway module at the end, stacked up, one for each hab. That way the ladder will be in the companionway and you will get the full floor plan with all the stuff. Otherwise, this is great! I love it. thanks for doing this.
stack up companionways and then build two of each module, one fore, one aft, that way we can see what is at each end that gets wiped out by the doorway.
for example, the Tayio one has a nav table and table w/ four chairs in the room that you noted seemed like wasted space. You might want to try putting them all connected at one end, then the other and see what's missing. (also, I enjoyed the video! thanks for making it)@@Digfig
Even tho i don't like the overall esthetic as much i really appreciate the design language of Nova Galactic, i think it is the most inspired and it looks the most dated and realistic, feels like something you'd actually see on a spacestation today, that kitchen looked kinda like food compartment for stewards in a plane.
Imo 1. Deimos. The best choice for a military ship. 2. Nova Galactic. It feels more like a captains quarters with the large bedroom and sitting area, but the lack of a restroom is a big issue. Maybe it does have a restroom if the ladders are removed or something idk. 3. Stroud Eklund. Pretty good but many of their modules are too similar to Deimos.
Mind which way the module is in your "ship" and place a door on the front or back to avoid taking too much away like the ladders do. Doors can take away less than ladders (like your desk chair or multiple chairs at the table) if you place them well, usually on the front or rear.
i was messing more with my build, moved the 3x1 living quarters on the side of my ship up one square, and it changed where the door was, but the connecting room had a table there, so i could not get through the door :D and i put a companionway in to get up into my captains quarters, and it did not create any connection at all and I couldn't get into that hab... the frustration is real. I'm hyper fixating on this, its a problem. Since I could not have a door or porthole on the end caps with out losing most of the interesting elements of the cabin I opted for the ladder. This was better as the Nova's desk room was kind of boring anyways so the ladder was fine there, and that left me a nice spacious couch and sitting room area. While i couldn't use the Porthole, i was able to throw up the side rectangle windows, and lost no details of the cabin in doing so in regards to where I put them. I was interested in upgraded to the Hopetech so i could have a bathroom, a couch AND a nice bed, i mean it had it all. But you can't any h ave windows at all. They knock out the couch, the coffee machine, the sitting table, the map table and the bathroom :( First world gamer woes. Are all couches in the AFT section of the captains quarters? If you're trying to decide about ladder placements. Good luck getting it to work. I changed one thing and lost 1 access route between unrelated habs, and the ladder into my captains quarters moved to the other end. *sigh
YA its super frustrating at times I have heard people say if you select the attachment point then select what hab you want to attach there it puts the door/ladder at the spot. I have not tested it though.
In the nova galactic one, if you put a porthole at the front of it, it deletes the desk and shelves but it doesn’t delete the coffee stain, so now I have to make up head canon to why there’s a ghostly floating coffee stain in the air
Missed the best 2x1 Captain's Quarters! 2x1 Nova Frontier - this is the main cabin in the Frontier ship. It is available also as a Nova Galactic 2x1 All-In-One Berth. Excellent rack (bed), head (restroom), galley, table with overhead diagnostic and navigation station. I suggest adding it to your future ship builds. By far the best of all the "Captain's Quarters!"
I love the hope tech one. Feels like your own lil apartment but if you place it near the cockpit (wear a captain quaters needs to be) the coffee maker feels like a officers rest room.
Thank you for making all those vids, they are incredibly helpful! And totally love how you comment on some of the random stuff, gives me a good time, too 😄 And yea. Fiddling with my ship for the last 2 days or so, didnt even get around to playing! Building my first outpost will be _hell_
OK so if you just place a captains quarters at the top, most highest point on your ship, and you use the cockpit that has stairs, you won’t have ladders up to your captains quarters there will be a private entrance in the cockpit to just your captains quarters
I accidentally started this video with playback at .5x speed and thought, whoa this dude is drunk af. But even after realizing, I didn’t change the setting bc it was amazing 😂😂 Seriously though, thanks for the awesome video hahaha
just wanted to know what functional components they had like the galley and bed, didn't need a furniture showcase. Who knows if the coffee makers will be functional. And your ladder and door might be removing things in the module I would just avoid a door.
Other ships with captains quarters have windows and shit like that. I have started to take over ships now and keeping like captains quarter with window and rebuild the whole ship
I like how dark hopetech is, but unfortunately it looks a little too trashy for my taste. 3:26 It has towels and stuff on the floor in the restroom (pick that crap up! lol). 3:49 Also not really a fan of the childish drawings above the bed.
This is a bit of a hard pick for me, I usually prefer the Nova designs, but I do have the Deimos in my ship currently and think it might be my favorite. All I want from my ship is for it to be as small as possible while being functional and the Nova bedroom is just too big I think.
Hopefully in the future we can change individual stuff. Some configs living quarters dont even have bathrooms.
I wonder if Nova Galactic has a bathroom if the ladders/entrances are set up differently.
@@zackfair6791 yeah they do. I noticed all the Nova Galactic living Habs have bathrooms just depends on how you connect them.
Knowing Bethesda, they've definitely held off some content and drip-feed it later as dlc. They love doing that, especially with more cosmetic stuff
And now you can. 9 months on.
You can either start with empty rooms and build it all or just add more stuff.

Yo thats fucking genius, I am stealing this Idea
stack up companionways and then build two of each module, one fore, one aft, that way we can see what is at each end that gets wiped out by the doorway.
oh Elianora is gonna have a blast with the cap. quarters and hab interior design. cant wait for her to build some awesome stuff for us
She worked on the game so she already has most likely lol
You should avoid ladders and be mindful where the door is. They can remove things in the module
Ya there's no real winning, ladders seem to take the least away.

Goin' in blind in the bathroom, use it at your own risk 😂 Love these videos they're really helpful!
I happy people are enjoying them and glad they help!
Dude! You puttin the work in! Love it!
Keep up the good work and the views will follow!
Nova. The big bed area fits better for being called the captains quarters. But you can't deny the importance of the free storage it provides.
im seeing a pattern. nova has its own retro style while the four newer types follow a light and dark variant of 2 designs. very cool
You’re a legend for making this

Great vid, exactly what I was looking for. Nova is my fav, followed by Hope Tech.

Except it looks like it was purchased from k mart
Great job on these types of videos. 👍

Deimos or NG are my go to.. I like the Nav table in the Deomos, but NG has a cozy feel
Excellent video!
Bang head here poster is real, had it at the mcdonalds I used to work at years ago placed on a metal wall
Can’t find the Taiyo captains quarters or the science lab anywhere. Been to the supplier over numerous days and these parts are never stocked!
tIn the bathroom for the taiyo, you mentioned there was no light. To me it looks like the towels over the sink are on a tube light.
Nova is my fave but the ship building is so finiky and placement matters. Would be nice to customize some of the Interiors.
Have you checked to see if the ladder effects the ends of the hab vs if there was only one way in and out by a door at the end?
If the Nova had a bathroom I'd love it. \o/

Fyi : Your needs are of unimportance to him
@@happytrailz no one cares about Starfield that's cool though
We need Luxery Modules, It would be nice if stroud had mkre luxerybesk models
Other ships with captains quarters have windows and shit like that. I have started to take over ships now and keeping like captains quarter with window and rebuild the whole ship
You can add windows to the walls/floor/roof they are called porthole in the structural tab when building a ship.
Can you make a living quarters video?
workshop habs next pls
yeah, I'll be getting the Hope captain's quarters. Gotta have a roomy, comfy bed for me and Sam! ;)
I like how dark hopetech is, but unfortunately it looks a little too trashy for my taste. 3:26 It has towels and stuff on the floor in the restroom (pick that crap up! lol). 3:49 Also not really a fan of the childish drawings above the bed.

1:10 I’m imagining this guy in front of a shitty green screen but it’s him laying on the bed
I wonder what Trident luxury captains quarter be like.
Taiyo tries to play it off as. Wing fancy but they are trashy, the only thing fancy about Taiyo is the cockpit
Let’s go
Nvm my last comment. Portholes in structure are windows.
"Expresso"
Ugh
This video does a 10X when you put it on mute..
