The Octopus' Garden isn't raised so they can hide under it, it is raised because their cities tend to flood regularly. They physically need the regular immersion but the alternating wet and dry periods wreak havoc on the building materials, so the domiciles are raised with an open porch-like space under the house.
I think there's a story left to be told as we see the octopi's struggle in space that eventually leads to the downfall of their religion and an alliance with the Grox
Hey man, I just found you, and a couple minutes ago I was watching the first video of you making the octopus play through, and you commented something that caught my interest. At the beginning of the video, you said "we are presumably in an alien galaxy...", and I checked the comments to see if anybody else told you that we're not. The galaxy in spore is the milky way, and you can locate the Sagittarius arm and the solar system. Personally, I think it would be a fantastic objective for this play through, to actually reach Earth
The religious "combat" is not turret based. Basically ideological warfare where they argue against you, that's what is dealing damage. You actually disable turrets when you start praying aggressively at them
Military is the most "straightforward" civ stage, Religious is the easiest, and Economic is the toughest. At least in my opinion but I expect a lot of people will agree
We need you to advance to the ultimate clout: Octo-Trek in SPAAACCCE! Besides, how best to scare another planet's inhabitants than to be probed by a multi-armed alien. OMG, I just combined Star Trek with Henti. I am not ashamed.
You should do a series where you use a random animal name generator and splice the two animals together i.e. (Dog + Whale = Dale or Cat + alligator = cattigator)
The plural of Octopus is...actually three words. Octopi is the older of the three, coming from the belief that words of Latin origin should have Latin endings, as octopus is a Latinized Greek word. Octopuses came second, adopted to fit English rules of how words should end in the English language. And Octopodes comes from the fact that the word octopus is in fact derived from the Greek word oktopus, and thus should have a Greek ending. Also, that is time line wise of when the plural forms came into being...at least, as far as written history is concerned. I personally find it funny how the Greek plural form came after the Latin plural form, despite the fact that the singular form is derived from a Greek word. Ultimately though, all three are correct.
I think for the future you should use the town hall's color scheme as a base for the other buildings, with minor tweeks afterwards to give cohesion to the set. You can go to the first color section and cleck the grid below to select
The plural for octopus is octopuses. Only words derived from Latin are pluralized by replacing -us with -i. Octopus does not come from Latin, it comes from the Greek word októpus, which translates to “eight foot.”
I still remember when they were just a germ swimming around in the ocean. I remember it like it was yesterday.....oh wait, it was yesterday when i discovered the first video 😂😂😂
Economic is actually super easy. You optimize everything, bribe the military city with the highest happiness to make them allies and focus on saving 16k per city accross 5 cities with 48k in the bank afterwards for the global merger as long as you keep a great happiness to income ratio and collected the correct abilities from previous stages and don't go directly into buying cities to increase your threat perception to the ai algorithm its by far the easiest just simple cash gifts as you can set up 5 trade routes right out the gate once you get cities to neutral. It just becomes a game of using abilities to disrupt other nations from capturing their targets. And you get rewarded the fastest as trade isn't considered a threat until you purchase a city, so as long as you wait to buy a city you can literally just go capture as many spice geysers as you can early to speed up your income growth. It's just a game of vehicle speed being the highest to capture the spice first and economic strength improves by increasing the number of vehicles on one trade route. If you bribe cities to stay nuetral or better while you trade as many cities as you can it's not even that bad. The Ai is garbage at threat identification for econ as long as you amass the money and keep bribes rolling out to stay safe. Especially because you need the least number of vehicles and to succeed econ is easy because you can just focus on speed. As Jackscepticeye would say back in the day Speed is key. If you start with a coastal city you basically already won. You just need to optimize for speed early with decent economic strength.
Literally just a game of amass 128k and 5 trade routes maxed out😂 worst case scenario and you didn't prevent the war via bribes just edit your vehicles to optimize for war.
When I first read "Pyrapus", I thought it said "Priapus". If you're not familiar with him, let's just say that he was the Greco-Roman god of male fertility (and good luck). For more explicit details, you can Google his name. Since it's academic, it's not considered NSFW!
In Civilization, do you hit any of the little villages with your Vehicles? Some give money or Vehicles. Religiously taking a city has resistance, that it what damages your Vehicles...somehow. As an English man, it is Octopuses and always will be. I don't care about bullshit explanations of Octopodes/Octopi. The Factory should have been a Church, as they'd be doing "God's WORK" 18:20 Octopuses produce a lot of Ink, so maybe a Printer's Shop or something...? Hmm, the Windmills on your Factory have EIGHT blades. Reminds me of the spinning Octopuses in Donkey Kong Country. Actually, the invulnerability Power doesn't work on Aircraft for some reason... Fanatical Frenzy gets cheaper depending on how many Cities there are left to capture, so, kinda based on your size too. Would love to see the Octopuses converting the Galaxy...
Love the Spore series. But really wish you wouldn't burb into the mic, and by extension, into your audience's ears. Especially unpleasant to listen to with headphones on. Any chance you could turn away from your mic, when you do that? Or maybe temporarily mute yourself, if you can't turn away from your mic?

The octopi made no boats as a statement that they would never return to the sea.
15:46 "Ik they like jars." Immediately starts the montage so great XD
That part made me belly laugh HAHA
I love how you have gotten more open to playing the space stage. And ya I would love space jellys.
"What do octopods find entertaining...I know they like jars.."
I know, _jarring_ right?
The religious "combat" is not turret based. Basically ideological warfare where they argue against you, that's what is dealing damage. You actually disable turrets when you start praying aggressively at them
"Destroying your planes with facts and logic."
Please make the next episode I'm loving the series keep up the dank videos
I wanna see what the spaceship would look like
Religious Is like easy mode civ since you keep all buildings when you convert a city
Military is the most "straightforward" civ stage, Religious is the easiest, and Economic is the toughest. At least in my opinion but I expect a lot of people will agree
Agreed

you should do a mr. Krabs economic run
"I know they like jars..."
Montage begins
You should do a series where you use a random animal name generator and splice the two animals together i.e. (Dog + Whale = Dale or Cat + alligator = cattigator)

I HIGHLY recommend investing in the painting mode in the future. It just allows so much better customization.
We must spread the word of Cthulhu to the stars u.u
Fun fact about octopi? Octopuses? Anyway they build "homes" out of discarded shells and rocks
