My parents were best friends with Arlene and Veldon when they were young married students at the U of I many years ago. Our families stayed close till the oldest kids became teenagers and life and miles pulled us in different directions. The Hix family has always had a special place in our hearts. Thank you Matt and Savanna for this wonderful gift to Arlene, you picked a perfect person to share the true meaning of Christmas with. Your voices do bring joy and hope to many. There's a bunch of videos on TH-cam of them singing. Not too long after the pandemic started they put out a video on TH-cam of them singing The Prayer and it went viral. From then on they've become very popular. This year they started doing concerts. They have some albums out as well.
I had the opportunity to see Mat and Savannah with the Rexburg Children’s Choir last week. Watching them make her smile even bigger was powerful. ❤️ what a sweet lady!

This was great. I remember Mat and Savanna's first video they posted and was hooked. One of those weird circumstances, if not for Covid they would have never started singing together. Was so nice of them to do this for Arlene. My wife had a family member as well that lost her sight and they never found out why. Same exact thing as Arlene. Went to bed and woke up and couldn't see.

This was one of the most precious things ever. I’ve followed Mat & Savanna since they started. I wish I could afford to be in their special community, but I’m happy that they share their music here. My Mom has macular degeneration and became blind. She passed away in 2003 and I miss her every day. God Bless ALL of you and Merry Christmas 🎄.
