When I was 4 at the time, me and my older sisters used to play this game jamming out on the soundtrack and my middle aged sister use to love this song, now I know how much time has passed of this being so nostalgic 😢.
I remember before this level was added, the first level that I can’t remember the name of, transitioned to the purple city level, and soon the weird colour scheme of this level.
so basically the reason why the illusion style appears in almost every single 2016 level is because 1. we travel through different dimensions (levels) and this is what it looks like when we do that 2. the name might be hinting to something and we hallucinate while were in levels an that's why the illusion style pops up in the first 6 levels. 3. (might be the most stupidest one) there is a deeper place beneath level 2 (sky) and once we fall into the abyss in level 2 we end up in illusion. (edit rq: the reason why i made number 3 is illusion and sky have the same pillars in there background but with different color so they might be connected in some way? and desert is just a farther place beyond sky and thats why sky and desert look similar??? idk am just yapping at this point...but who knows! maybe this is true!) give me your RS 2016 lore ideas in replys.
