I left a reply to that issue, but I think youtube ate it -- or it's on another video -- my son thought it was around 12:30 AM last night -- in fact, it was around 2:15 AM and he needed help rounding up all these kittens -- PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE, can I send one -- or six -- to you? Ha. But then I was awake and watched a portion of one of her past videos -- my computer didn't work in youtube for almost all of Dec, but I thought about you, Tina, because I remember in the past two years somebody said something just really mean -- you're like the nicest person on youtube -- plus, you're so talented and just like Rachel, you share your techniques (who started the 3-fold pockets?? -- and I'm terrible with names -- the sweet lady who is the happy bohemian -- she's always making pockets -- a pocket here, a pocket there -- it hurt her feelings so much she almost quit -- because of her accent -- I was a court reporter (with the little machine in the courtroom, not a microphone on tv) for nearly 30 years -- started way young -- no, seriously, I was 19 -- anyway, just because the federal court is located in the city where I live, I worked on a lot of very high-profile cases -- and the law firms would hire people who specialized as being a media coach, and they always advised the person of interest just not to interact with the media, no matter how many and what type of questions or accusations they threw at them while walking in and out of the courthouse -- but I'm old now and I don't want to be mean back, but just point out the error of their ways -- ha -- I survived being the single parent of a male teenager that had to be in the car when he was learning to drive -- nothing phases me -- I'm glad Rachel spoke up -- I finally after almost a year -- a year -- in the making finished my pink journals -- I DID go to your channel on Christmas Day, but watched on tv and liked -- I can like but not leave comments -- ha -- and my bike got hit in the parking lot of our grocery store -- in December 2019, and then we've had the stay at home, but I need another one, so I need to record it, and it's just the thought of figuring out how to position the camera, and then doing edits -- and you girls post almost every single day, while raising a family and creating kits and dealing with etsy and postage and mailing -- you are all my heros, and I am most grateful !!! Big Hugs, Patricia

@@roxycreations679 I am so glad. I don't know how to spell this, and I actually feel kind of sorry for that person, because ... I am a vanilla kind of girl and have been all of my life -- vanilla ice cream over chocolate. I wear white all the time and didn't realize it until my neighbor mentioned it -- so, when you put the light grey paper under your fabric work, I thought that was brilliant !!! And so I picked out some of my favorite background pieces I literally use to paste on tags -- my old, but faithful HP, which I use as backup now, is out of color ink, but I have two full extended life black cartridges I just purchased. In my journals for main pages, I use a heavier weight, but for background I just use cheapo recycled 20 lb, and so I've spent the morning printing out a bunch of various light grey backgrounds -- if you had followed Ann's exactly, my life would be devoid of this lovely grey -- you go into your color and click on greyscale or print in black and white, and I put the image in just a drawing file and then I just lighten the image -- voila' perfect grey for background -- ha, I also have a scary movie suggestion for Lulu -- it's been happening for sometime now, and just for her I'll try to capture it on film, but everytime I look in the mirror, there's this ghost of this old woman staring back at me -- Oh, I was going to call you a "clever chuck" -- : ) -- oh, it's just easier for me, but I bought literally a thousand luggage tags, they're about 6.5 x 3.75 inches -- they were 20 bucks, but I should have purchased white ones -- If I had a paper chopper like yours I'd probably make my own -- but -- here's a link to the wermemkeepers dual paper cutter and scoreboard. I like it because it folds in half -- I use it all the time -- last week on the US amazon it was $19; hopefully on the Italian one you can find it pretty cheap -- also, a last question -- which of the paper tearers do you prefer -- your previous one or the new plastic one -- I also have both, along with like 6 others -- it's a sickness, I also collect and hoard dictionaries; weirdo me!! -- and I also have fiskars scissors that leave that ripped effect. But I find myself reaching over and over for the small metal one, although my 2nd fav is the plastic one, because you can kind of line it up using the center space -- enough of me -- www.amazon.com/We-Memory-Keepers-12-inch-titanium/dp/B00EOC6T6E/ref=sr_1_2?dchild=1&keywords=we+are+memory+keepers+paper+trimmer&qid=1610214221&sr=8-2

2020 for me was a positive year. I discovered junk journaling 😊, watercolouring, drawing etc. And I also love the peace and quiet the 'you know what' has brought and the slowing down of the world. I do not mind at all, not being allowed to go as I please, apart from going to work 5 days a week, because it gives me a chance to be creative and chill out, it takes pressure away. So, in every way, for me 2020 was a fantastic year for which I am hugely grateful 😊.

I know. I wasn't feeling well yesterday so was completely out of the loop and then to wake up this AM to see four people dead and the capitol breached -- I thought I was hallucinating . I live in Richmond, Va., and the news this AM -- from their website -- showed the protesters stopped about 30 miles north of Richmond in this small little college town, Ashland, I'm not sure why. When I was in the 9th grade -- English class -- Reader's Digest published a multi-issue report on "The Kent State Affair." where students protested the war in Viet Nam and four students were killed -- of course, none of us had any frame of reference -- it was a small college town in central Virginia -- but Crosby Stills had a song, with the chorus: Four Dead in Ohio -- Of course, some parents complained, but she pushed right back and said -- unless they learn this, then history will repeat itself. I never thought there would ever come a time, especially in modern history, that we would be where we are. Virginia is currently in a state of emergency -- it's the next day at 6:16 PM EST -- and the governor immediately called up the National Guard, as well as extra state troopers and police -- Virginia gets hit by hurricanes all the time, and the National Guard always responds for emergency services, I'm 64 and I don't think I have any memory of them being called up for a situation as yesterday. I'm glad I didn't watch the news or youtube -- peace be with us all -- Patricia

sorry for a second reply to your post -- this is the local news website -- I cannot believe the pictures -- Richmond got hit really hard this past summer, and I had to go downtown to a dr's appt., and couldn't believe it -- there were armed guards dressed in identical riot gear, only they were carrying these huge automatic rifles -- it was 2 days after a "protest" that caused almost $8 million in damages -- city hall, which takes up the entire block and has this huge glass plate windows and glass revolving doors -- the windows were broken out -- the park area around the general assembly (state government) building was closed, and huge chains like on large ships chained to port were around the gates with more security fencing and jersey walls -- that was June 23rd -- I haven't been back since. I needed to go to the post office, but couldn't make myself go there. www.wtvr.com/

I don't believe that I have ever heard Anne say that this is the way you have to do it, or for that matter anyone else. They give ideas, but the designs and outcomes have to come from your artistic talents. Challenges would be boring if we all did the exact same thing. I used Lisa Mattocks tags from her threads I have purchased. I looked at all the tags on Instagram and can say no 2 are alike. My mother always use to say
"'If you can't say something nice, don't speak or write it. " Today people feel they're free to type and say anything they wish because they can hide behind the mechanisms they use to communicate with.
Love to hear your design thoughts, it gives me ideas!🥰

It is 2:39 AM. Yes, AM. About 20 minutes ago, I thought I was dreaming about Edgar Allen Poe and a raven knock, knock, knocking at my chamber door -- nope, was my kid. In the haze I hear, Mom? Mom ? Me: what, come in, is the house on fire? Child walks into dark bedroom, and exclaims: Oh, were you asleep -- I'm so sorry. ME: What time is it? Child: About 12:30 -- ME: what do you need -- I wear glasses, and couldn't see and was still half asleep. Child: Can you help me with the kittens getting them in their beds? ME: Yes, as soon as I find my glasses -- CHILD: no, it's okay; I'll do it, really, go back to bed -- ME: I rolled my eyes so far up, I thought they were stuck there for a minute -- No, I'll help. Decided to look for glasses in the morning, found old pair and put those on -- I managed to wrangle three -- the wicked things -- there's a huge male that is black and white named Oreo -- and of course, he starts purring like there's no tomorrow. Still me to adorable kitten: no, you are not sleeping with me -- OREO: purrs anyway, and gives me a head bop kiss (that's how kitties kiss) -- so now I'm awake and thought I'd pull up your tag video -- I'm in the Humira hangover phase and tried to watch it but couldn't stay awake -- and now you're telling me somebody was rude -- on your channel, in your comments? because you didn't follow the rules precisely. I watched an older Hallmark movie today called: A dash of love, about this great cook, but didn't go to culinary school, and kept getting turned down for jobs because of it -- and her friend goes to work at this really posh, but out of date, and apparently salt, but she was hired as her assistant, not on the cooking line, but, after hours, she was creating all this delicious food, because she was wroking past midnight, but the owner was watching on the security camera and stole her recipes -- which the point of my comment is thus: she called her style of cooking: freehand (appro pot kinda for this video) and she crunched up ice cream cones to use as a coating for fried chicken, add cinnamon candy to her chille for a little extra heat -- so now in your videos you can just say: I'm going to freehand this a bit in my own style. -- I mean, seriously, what's going to happen? The youtube crafting police will come raid your house and demand you hand over your recording devices? Although, I was watching a travel channel and it showed where i think you traveled to the one art show on the border of Italy and Austria, the little town -- It was taken in the summer in beautiful bright light and the scenery was literally breathtaking -- I kept singing -- only in my mind, God forbid out loud -- The Sound of Music: Climb every mountain ....and next time someone says something off -- just delete it and block them from commenting in the future. I don't understand what the big deal is -- I don't think the crafting police are standing there threatening to unplug her internet if she doesn't act in their stead? When you're feeling a bit out of sorts, it would make me the exact same -- hence, now finished journals I keep procrastinating for the same reason -- but go to your files and journal from your birthday friendship challenge -- those are your friends and people who appreciate the time you spend teaching us what you've taken your lifetime to know -- I love papercrafting so much, and would never have even thought I could do the rudementary parts without you -- and I am not alone -- It's now 3:01 -- ha --

I worked with a woman years ago who was doing a cross stitch project. I commented that I liked it, but would change to color to match my decor. She was horrified and said you can’t change the color and must follow the directions. I just laughed and went in my way. I was taking a class on communication and in one assignment, the instructor drew a straight line with dome shape on top, then gave us 30 seconds to write as many things as we could see. One man wrote a line with a curved line on top. That was all he saw. I don’t remember how many things I had, but at least three times more than the others. Hat, half a port hole, an igloo, which upset some because they said there wasn’t a door. I told them the door was on the other side.
All I could think of was how sad it would be to not realize you can change colors or to only see lines instead of many things.
I am planning to use a fabric base instead of tags and either sewing them together or mounting on another piece of fabric. Hope I’m not burned at the stake for heresy.

I can highly recommend Tulip needles for working with seed beads (size 10s are the best), they don't bend as easily as others. They do still bend but nowhere near as bad. Also if you want to add beads to your work and don't want to see the thread, have a look for some crystal fireline. It's a really strong pre waxed beading thread, you can also use really thin fishing wire as well (which is cheaper!)😊
I totally sympathise with you on the being told off comment .. I got a rather negative comment from someone last year whilst doing the fabtag challenge because I 'dared' to use something other than the actual kit to create a batch of snippet roll tags as one of my challenge entries 🤨 I'm wondering now if it could have been the same person, perhaps!? I can't remember who it was though as it was that long ago, but comments like that stay with us a lot longer than they really should do 😔
I love how your tag turned out and if Anne has said you DO NOT have to stick to the 'rules' then the way I see it is...ANYTHING GOES, so go for it and don't apologise or look back!! xoxo

She comes up with an idea for the week and it’s up to you to create. That is what is fabulous about the challenge. I have watched quite a few videos and everyone is doing a lovely job. Looking forward to seeing your creations. ❤️❤️.

I love your creativity. I watched Anne's video and I did see her mention that if there is ever a tag you didn't want to do... then do what you want. My tags are larger... And I wasn't planning on doing any stitching at all, just fabric collage with glue. But after watching a few videos and getting inspired, I will do the stitching because I've always wanted to learn embroidery, It takes me out of my comfort zone and encourages me to try new things. Sorry that you had that mean comment. I've learned that there are just mean people out there... for no reason than to be mean. Don't let it make you second guess what you do. You are fabulous! I wondered about your tags, what a great job, I thought you used a tag die cutter. Love your videos and always wonder how you ended up in Italy. I'm Canadian , met and married (later divorced) an Italian American and lived in the States for 16 years. Then met an English man in Toronto and we were together for 20 years until he died 11 years ago. quick sewing tip for getting through the multi layers -- my hands barely have any strength left in them -- all this typing notwithstanding -- but on my last visit to my rheumatologist, he said it wasn't my fingers, it's the joint at the base of the thumb, palm side. I can't even open jars or rip up plastic tabs -- but, everybody has these little jewlery tools, but you can get the same thing at the dollar tree -- I keep the small needle nose pliars -- they are small -- in my sewing basket, and when I can't get the needle to go through -- like sewing on a button -- I use those, and bam ! -- it pulls it right through -- you saying your thumb was cramping is the perfect example -- and the little bead embellishment is so pretty -- the joint is located between the base of the thumb and your wrist -- if you press on mine, at least, the joint, while not painful, is tender -- well, I turned 35 on my last birthday in Sept., so I guess it's a sign of the times -- ha

And I put more labels on tags and thought of YOU and I don't care ---- Ha Sorry -- I just can't help it -- I see them and think of you and it just makes me laugh -- hope you and those you love are all well -- oh, PS -- I wish I could remember where I saw this, but I thought of you, too -- it was some movie on Amazon prime -- I'm thinking it was Call the Midwife, because I watched all nine seasons, it was so good. So the midwives in England in late 1950's and up until 1965 was the last one -- it's been renewed for two more years -- the music is fabulous -- but the midwives/nurses actually live in a building with the nuns who also deliver babies -- and so they'll usually have a cocktail hour in one of their bedrooms, and one of the girls had a bottle of Johnnie Walker, and she said: Red Label -- and I said out loud, while laughing -- Sherry, you just can't get away from the labels -- ha -- another fun fact about bourbon and labels. I don't drink bourbon, so I have no frame of reference, but around these here parts, "Jack in the Black" -- Jack Daniels, black label -- is supposed to be the best -- well, it's manufactured in a town in Kentucky which is "dry." -- meaning -- they do not sell liquor and you can get in some deep trouble if you have any type of "open carry" --

If truth be told I do purchase labels but swear I’ve used only 1 or 2. Of course they are labels from Rachel Tracy Fox and Tina from Shabbydabbydodah lol. These are my 3 main ladies I watch. I tease Rachel and Tina. I wouldn’t dare tease Tracey. However Jack Daniels is smooth but Johnny Walker Red Label is the BEST. I may have had a bit here and there in my younger years.
