- Video entitled The making of a pop-up book, featuring book artist Chuck Fischer and paper engineer Bruce Foster from the Smithsonian Libraries exciting new exhibition, Paper Engineering: Fold, Pull, Pop & Turn. On display in the Libraries Exhibition Gallery in the National Museum of American History through September 2011.
People definitely take pop up books for granted, I have seen how rough readers in bookstores are and they are so oblivious to the amount of time and effort that is gone through into creating such masterpieces!
Interesting explanation of the whole production and design process. Looks like it needs a lot of skilled and careful people to bring these projects to the bookshelves. Fascinating. Thanks for showing us.
People are so careless to pop up books, and take them for granted. If only they knew how much time and effort it really takes to make one!

Wow!!! cool! how I wanted to work in a place like this! I'm passionate about pop up and I make cards to teach special children with deafness and autism among others, because they are fascinated by the magic of this art and learn better that way.
