I want someone who looks at me the way Aisling looks at James. I’m not suggesting anything... Yeah that’s a lie. I definitely think Aisling quite fancies James.
What James says about the price of drinks always hits me. I once worked with a guy who said he went out with friends one night and they decided to try a guest beer called "duck" that came as a half, in a duck shaped glass. The barman put the drinks on the bar then said "that'll be £168 please" - turned out it was £4 for the half, and £10 deposit on each glass! This was when lager was about £1.20 a pint.
About the dove thing, that doesn't happen in Spain, it happens in certain parts of south America, and it's more about getting someone to lend you something during this day because then you can keep it. We don't do or say that in Spain, there are pranks that nowadays are mostly fooling someone with fake news, and the answer is indeed along the lines of "wanker". But not in English, just in case you were wondering.

I love how during that band story, the other comedians just leave it all to him and enjoy the ride. His timing is spot on and everyone in that audience included the panel just enjoyed the Acaster moment

That "and he's still in this band to this day" was a lie, sadly. Pindrop was very short-lived. He is, however, currently still working on a reunion album with his later band "The Wow! Scenario", as well as having released a collaborative project with a lot of his fellow hometown musicians called Luna Dot Raids the Bee Pigion
Saw his stand up this year, absolutely awesome. Listening to him about having a nervous breakdown over celeb bake off and Mr Bean stealing his gf was just was the epic. This guy is a legend!
My favourite bit is in the Lloyd story: "He had bought a DIFFERENT dress this time - but fair play(!!!); hadn't mentioned the dress..." Lloyd is an absolute legend. And I have never seen Aisling lose it so completely.
I love the Lloyd story especially because it is true. If u read his book about the crazy things that have happened to him that’s in there. He also mentions how on stage he usually doesn’t tell stories about himself because they are less believable than ones he makes up. Josh widdicombe had a whole section of his podcast dedicated to James and his crazy stories.
It never occurred to me, but James is right about pubs/bars. Why don’t they show their prices anywhere? You can order the exact same round of drinks in two different bars and pay two completely different prices. There should be more transparency!
