I was in the ambulance service as a NHS paramedic. In the early hours , back at base, if the crew room was full I would sleep on the stretcher in these 😁
Only requires a C1(7 1/2 ton ) licence, C1-E is articulated , i.e. drawing a trailer ., the E is basically " Extension " , B+E (car) up to 7 1/2 ton , c1=e, c+e (artic ) d+e bus/coach etc ., all which you need to sit a test on .
No fucking way, imagine all the people who died in that, all the blood and stuff that you would find in cracks etc when stripping it. Not for me, no way.
@@ApolloFreya I used to sleep on the stretcher in these when I worked in ambulance service on nights. If the crew room was full there was nowhere else to sleep 😁
Hello I came across one of your TH-cam videos earlier. I’ve just purchased a Mercedes 416 sprinter , and in the process of getting the weight downgraded, got new weight plate and going to post it and the docs away tomorrow. I have a problem with insuring for some reason the van comes up on there system 316 Cdi and no one seems to insure the 416 thanks . I’ve you’ve any info would be much appreciated thanks all the best . It’s and ex police midium wheelbase panel van
just helped my mates daughter get the Fiat Ducato through its MOT, must have spent about a week digging through decommissioned wiring and air suspension faults. Zero care taken throughout the decommission stage at all, just a quick rip out of essentials. Never again.
You only need a C1 licence not C1E which is a 7.5 tone plus trailer licence. However you can replate these to 3.5 tonne but obviously that reduces your weight limit
Good afternoon!! Thank you for the comment and correcting me :) unfortunately now you cannot downrate these vans to 3500kg. The DVLA require at-least 1000kg payload to downrate nowadays!

Cool, but as an ex paramedic I can tell you these vans are thrashed to within an inch of their lives.
Yeah but on the flip side of that they are serviced and maintained very well.
@stevebeever2442
Ha ha ....believe me no there not.
@MrTyger11 Don't need to believe you. I know as I worked at Yorkshire Ambulance and was based in fleet.
