I woke up Saturday morning to the mess, and I was just around the bend: we skedaddled out of there as quickly as we could! I may be back in '25 with the Jeepster!
I LOVED this!!! Thanks for sharing your travel adventures!!! We were actually there in June. I heard Speedweek got rained out but ...WOW!!! I had to travel to Salt Lake from Montana to get a parts car and we decided to make a family vacation out of it. Wife wanted zoos, aquariums, planetarium and educational stuff. Kids wanted Lagoon, the big theme park. I just wanted to see Bonneville. It was amazing!!! The next day, we were headed home and my truck pretty much blew up and we ended up buying a new truck just to get home. There went my budget for my project!!! LOL Oh well.... adventures!!! Cheers!!!
It was crazy! I have to say, I was thinking about you guys, and all the other racers when I woke up to the flood Saturday morning. So much work and effort preparing. What a bummer. On the positive, it was really great meeting you guys! Hopefully see ya next year.
Another great video of you meanwhile it's a ritual to watch a video of you every morning at breakfast. 47:15 Oh those guys and the yellow pickup, I saw the video of the trip to Salt Lake.
I enjoyed every second Lee ! . It was just like being there . Great story telling and filmwork . Thanks for sharing Speed Week with us , the good and the bad . Looking forward to part 3 .
I like your show ,keep goin. I like your model A .We like some of the same things. Richard Petty was my fav. when he was racing and my first rat rod was a 47 Monarch. Thanks for the tour Have fun
Wow, thanks for the flood (lol) of memories of my own trips to the salt flats over the years. The downpours come up quickly don't they? Great walk-arounds and video commentary!
@16:00 is Lucky's Hot Rods, on their episode #9 of Stormin Bonneville @28:26 they drive by Brown Sugar and you going to get their trailer and car from the lake.
I came across this channel about a month ago. I think I have watch all of them and always click like to help you out with TH-cam. Keep them coming. Sorry about you trip to Bonneville. we were planning to go this year and didn't go and of course now glad we didn't. I been there 5 times as a spectator and lucked out with good weather every time. How did your friend do after you installed the electric fuel pump?
There is no substance on the planet slicker than the mud in the camp area. We were just up the road from you. SUCKS! hate to have to wait a whole year!
Goose shit on a door knob is pretty slick! The best thing we did was go to Boise on Sunday. When we got back Sunday night, it was getting pretty dry, and Monday when we packed up, it was totally manageable again.
That’s epic 🔥what a road trip! Thanks for sharing!!!

Thanks, you guys had a hell of a week!!!!!!!!!!!!
It was an adventure!
Another GREAT video! I love your easy laid back approach to everything. Now for part three. Cheers!!
Thanks!
Thanks man for taking us on your journey! And including us :) crazy to see it all go down from the bend.. ✌🏼

Now that was an adventure for archives...... 👍👍
We’ll remember it for a while!
Enjoying your vids. Bummer on Speed Week but you got some good stuff before the rain! Looking forward to part 3.
Thanks for sharing!
So many awesome cars!
What a bad luck for speedweek, but the video is still very cool, I enjoyed watching it as always.
Glad you enjoyed watching. Thanks.
great video, thanks for sharing your holiday guys!
Thanks for watching!
Thanks for the excellent “road trip” Who’d thought there would be a rainout?
It happens… it rained 2014, 2019 and now 2022. 2019 it didn’t rain bad enough to cancel, but it severely effected the salt condition.
Wow, thanks for the flood (lol) of memories of my own trips to the salt flats over the years. The downpours come up quickly don't they? Great walk-arounds and video commentary!
Yea they sure do. Nice blue sky, then all of a sudden a storm rolls over the mountain and Bam!
Great trip and video coverage. Too bad that the weather messed up Bonneville Speed Week .
Thanks, glad you enjoyed the video.
Thank you.

Great video, but yeah the rain blows.
The rain, and the wind! 💨
Funny, we just drive our hot rods to Bonneville. But its only from the Pacific coast, hwy 80 most of the way. Around 1,000 miles one way, I guess.
You make it sound like we took a plane or something haha. Definitely drove there, we were on the road for 16 days.
whatta road trip!. Too bad your buddy Richard couldn't run his truck.
Yea, Richard and Steve were pretty bummed. A lot of effort and money goes in to racing there, months before the event.

He made it all the way home trouble free!
Hey check out the Jan’23 issue of HotRod magazine!! Get the picture frame ready too
Pretty cool! I grabbed a copy a few weeks ago.
It’s also in the current Canadian Hot Rods Magazine right now.
Well, maybe next year you can take “Janky” to the Salt Flats!
Good idea!
Actually there are vendors at Bonneville, also most race teams sell stuff.
There was the sunglasses guy, Mooneyes was selling stuff at their pit. And that’s really it. Oh, and the ice truck…
Your both living the dream! maybe one day I will too,.... ps shame about your roadster
Found a windshield the other day with a chrome frame for less than it would cost me to replace the glass in this one!
A banger with a Volvo head on it? Could you elaborate? 😀
Well I didn’t get to see it, cause it was out on the flooded salt lake. So unfortunately, no I cannot elaborate haha
Dang! Live in Denmark, neighbouring Sweden, so Volvo heads are plenty,@@LGKustoms! Banger speed parts not. 😆
Thanx for the reply! 😁🙏🏼
Well, Speed Week was a 'wash', too bad but an adventure none-the-less!
Should have brought speed boats!
Another one of life’s up’s and downs. Feel for all the racers. Sorry for all the damage but you are still on an upwards curve.
A bad day racing is still better than a good day working!
32 the only way is up. There’s a 36 just come up for sale over here but I would need to sell the house. Not a bad idea now I’ve said it!!!
At least the roadster is an easy fix, could have been a lot worse.
I actually found a chrome windshield frame the next day, with glass!
A real disappointment for all the racers for sure but still a cool trip thanks for sharing your travels with us.
We still made the best of it, and had fun.
Yall just needed a water plow.
Or some jet skis!
Wow what a trip .. shame bout bonnieville
and flooded out this year also 2023
Speedweek 2023 hasn’t happened yet. Still 3 months away.
