Thank you for the information. One question arises. Whats the minimum german gpa required for admission? I have a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from ranked 1 University in my country, with 7 years if experience as a Mechanical site engineer, and an MSc in Investment and Financial Risk Management from London, UK. The main issue is that I don't have that 2.5 german GPA as requested by many universities, which stress me out of being rejected. Please if you could share your thoughts. Thank you
1. Minimum % required usually is 70%+ 2. GPA is not the only criteria of getting accepted or rejected. Your overall profile matters. So do apply and see. All the best
My question is not exactly related to the video although I have applied for Kiel, how about the non nc courses can u give an insight on the procedures? Would be of much help. Thanks
Hello Neil Dutta, I'm so glad that you like this video. There are more informative video coming soon on "Studying & Living in Germany". Neil Dutta, please subscribe and stay tuned for more videos! We will be making a video on the non nc courses very soon.
Thank you. Definitely i will subscribe. Actually i have applied for a couple of non NC courses for the winter. But after searching through the web and getting certain mixed opinions on the admission procedures such as - a bachelor thesis can be asked for and so on, which are making me bewildered. In india there aren't much scopes for research and writing thesis right in the bachelors. Although I have manufactured an unique machine for the last year project which took me couple of months alongwith my internships, and my B Tech ended immediately after that, so I am bit worried and to publish a paper for thesis should take time.. :(
When exactly university sends admission decision? I have applied for winter'21 before 28th February. They said the decision will be available on May. But no response yet.
That's because he started with PhD after completing his Masters. He was not the right candidate for these questions. I will find someone who is doing job in this field. Thanks for your query.
I want to apply for this material science course next winter semester. I want to know about the SOP requirements of the University and also if there's any University Entrance Aptitude Test because I've seen it on the website.
Hi Rohit, For writing Statement of Purpose, as the name suggests, you need to state clearly why you want to study this course. In simple words think of creating a bridge between your previous knowledge and the courses offered in Mat Sci (this you can find on the Uni course website). Example: From my Bachelor's study I got introduced to Metallic materials, their Physical and chemical properties, and their applications. However this isn't the only class of Material and I would like to explore new classes of Materials used in Renewable industry for energy harvesting (just an example and this depends on what your career goals are). With a profound interest to contribute to Renewable energy industry, I would like to make my fundamentals strong on the same and so on...... Regarding University entrance aptitude test, at least I am not aware of any such thing existing. I just had a look and did not find any. If possible share a link for my information's sake.
@@PalakLakhaniinGermany actually I'm confused. I got offer letter from 2 universities. 1) Tu darmstadt Course-Msc in material science 2) university of Muenster Course- Msc in physics Which one would be good for better job opportunities? Please help
I am currently a bachelor student in chemical engineering (4 years) 3rd year 5th semester can I apply for material science and engineering after the 6th semester while doing my 7th semester?
There may be course specific scholarships but there are also general scholarships like Deutschland Stipendium where everyone can apply. You can try there.
Yes you can but it will be difficult for you because Biomedical and Biotechnology are focused on completely different things. So ask the program coordinator before applying.
I wanna ask regarding the course as I wanna pursue this course from Kiel University. What are the softwares that I need to know which may help me in the course?
Finite element modeling will help during the course as there is a subject related to that. Python, origin, labview, COMSOL will help in the later stages to find a job. It also helps to learn Solid state physics from any textbooks as we do not study this during Engineering degree in india. Engineering physics and solid state physics are different although the concepts are applicable and intuitive to other areas of physics.
