It's really hard to say, especially given that Gunleon's apparently a relic itself and was likely re-purposed as a repair/wrecking 'bot somewhere down the line, and who knows what else. So there's really no way to tell what name fits better or where it came from. Rand's easily one of the most hilarious and completely badass characters in the entire series, either way.
Its a shame they didn't put Wing Zero and Macross 7 into SRW Z, then I could form the Green tank top squad! Sillyness aside, this was the best possible picture you could have picked out for Rand. :P
I got a feeling that in addition to Gunleon and his repetitive but awesome theme, Hyperion, Fighter Roar, Probably Valefor, Ialdabaoth, and maybe even Soul Gain will be in OG3, whenever it comes out.

Does anyone have any official source material that says this thing's name? Popular opinion suggests "Gunleon", but automatically assuming gan=gun caused people to screw up the names of Astranagant and Gan Eden. Particularly when there are no actual guns anywhere on the robot.
