Most of the practising Sufis used to bring a dish of food and presented to their dearest
Mowla - the Prophet. The Prophet would select only two dishes for himself and then put to
auction all the remaining, one after another. The money realized was added to the Byet-ul-Mall (state revenue). The Ismailis continue this practice even today and call the auction as
