Bill, I rediscovered fishing after a 35 year hiatus. I put the sport on hold when I got married, put two beautiful daughters thru college and now I have time to resume the passion I discovered and enjoyed with my dad as a child and young adult. I pulled my all of my tackle from storage and still have lures from the 50’s, 60’sand 70’s. Amazingly they all still catch bass. Great video Mr. Dance. Keep them coming.
Hello! Bill! I have never owned a Heddon Sonar blade bait. In the last few years I have been pond fishing when there not frozen over in the winter. Heard of this bait being a good late fall and winter bait. Put my order in at Van Dam Warehouse for 3 Rattlin Sonar flashes blade baits in. Silver, Gold and CHARTREUSE 1/2oz size. They were $4.49 a piece. My Wal-Mart doesn't carry these baits. It's Early December 2023 and next week the temps are suppose to be in the 50's with a 15 mph SW wind blowing. I should get my baits from VanDam Warehouse this week. Thanks for your video on The Heddon Sonar. It's should be fun trying something new. I am 63 now. Been bass fishing since I was 5. Watched your shows for years and years. Have enjoyed them all! Shawn.

Great subject today Bill. I myself at 66 yrs old still use my old Heddon Lucky 13 top water lure all the time. I bought that when I was 10 or 12 years old all though it's hard to tell it had a yellow body with a red head.
What's going on Bill! They don't sell blade baits in Walmart in my area I guess I'm going to have to go to Academy Sports Outdoors in Tupelo Mississippi and see if they carry them. Thanks for the great information on the sonar blade bait I'm definitely going to try it out! I've only been to Smith Lake once but when I go back I plan on having some blade baits to try them out there! thanks for another great episode Bill! Silver Buddy, Little George, Hopkin’s spoons, Mann’s Stingray Grubs, Bucktail Jigs and a bunch more lures catch Bass and about everything else too. They just don’t have the appeal of the latest lures made to catch more anglers than bass. The first lure I ever caught a fish with was a Shad dart; a funny looking lead head jig with a pinch of hair tied on. They look like a Trout Magnet with whiskers. I still use Pork trailers too. There is a new bait; called Fat Cow; it looks interesting; it fishes like Pork but is made of something else. One thing about blade baits; is they don’t peck at them, they either hit them hard or don’t. If you work them on the bottom you lose a lot of them because they get stuck to the bottom. So, I just put two single hooks on them and save on loosing lures. If they eat that thing they seldom fail to get tagged from one or both hooks.
Absolutely awesome video sir! I grew up literally right across the street from the old Heddon plant where the Heddon Dynasty started! Which now, it has been turned into the Heddon Museum ! I did a tour of the museum on my TH-cam channel...beautiful catches as always sir! BABAAM!!

Okay Mr Bill I have seen this bait and I have question myself I guess my inner thoughts of which one of the three holes across the top do you fishing in could you answer that please
the holes change the action of the lure slightly, I usually use the middle hole on a Heddon Sonar as a starting point, forward for a faster retrieve and last hole for a slower retrieve.
Okay I didn't know what the three holes would do I have seen the lure and thank you PD bandit one thank you for the input on the lure I really do appreciate it
