I ADORE the animatics to this song where Richie is pictured running away once Max starts singing loudly and it really makes for interesting framing, but I also like how you showed Richie staying there even though he was terrified, like in the stage version. Richie was scared out of his mind and knew he was about to die, but he stayed put in the desperate hope that he’d be spared if he did as he was told. :( anyways epic animation! I love the different angles
In fairness, he couldn't actually get away, Max closed and locked the doors. It took me watching a couple times to realize, but that's what he's doing when he flicks his wrist while Richie's running away. Richie runs for the door out of the lockers, Max uses his powers to shut and lock the door, Richie tries to escape, Max catches him. He realizes that the only way he can get out alive is on the slim chance that Max spares him, so he does everything he can to appease him, until the moment when he panics and tries to reason with him, at which point Max mocks and kills him, leaving a message for the rest of the main characters.
I imagined them behind the bleachers. Like, Max chased him out there. I saw someone interpret the backing vocals as everyone was there when Richie died, they just didn't see it.
First off, the proper setting in the locker rooms, love that, also the way it utilized cramped spaces to its best ability, showing how utterly suffocating it could be when you’re cornered by your bully. The way you use different perspectives, always angling upward or in a way that makes Max seem greater, bigger, more menacing, illustrating his god complex in such a simple yet efficient way. Whenever panned to Richie it shows him angled downward, close to the ground, because Richie is used to groveling, curling up and trying to minimize himself and make himself a smaller target. The screen seems to shake as Max bellows, which could be seen as an exaggeration, but also an example of what he could do now that he is undead and full of rage, which also explains why Richie starts to back away. The way Richie’s pupil dilates when Max’s eyes narrow, almost as if telling the same story in darker lightly, an involuntary reaction if you will, as if Max always narrowed his eyes before he pummeled someone’s to a pulp. The way that in pans to show the empty locker room as Max says “but you have lost..” shows that nobody will save him, nobody could save him, because he is alone, lost in a sense. Love itt and sorry for word-vomit analysis
This was really good! I like how realistic it is down to the artstyle and expressions. I also love how you didn't cut it off right after the "Please don't kill me-" part. It's something that I've seen a lot of other animatics of this song do which really irked me for someone reason.
LOVED THIS!! thank you for portraying them inside of the school! people always draw this scene in the football field which can’t happen, since the game is going on and richie is found in the locker room. gorgeous art!
Spectacular animatic! I was a bit confused bc in the show they sing: 'Who will pray for me?' instead of 'Will you pray for me?' idk which version of the lyrics I prefer.
@@t1rameesu I am not sure this is what they mean, but I would kill for the whole song to be more like this part. I don't like the rest of it as much as this one for some reason.
The animatic is incredible, but you should be careful with the composition of your shots, because you often break the 180-degree rule. The rule dictates that you draw an imaginary line between these two characters and try to keep your "camera" on the same side of this 180-degree line. But that aside, it's really cool!
I tried to give this game a fair shake, but the entire time up to UR 34: it was basically Genshin with QoL in some areas and lacking in others. I'm no stranger to gacha games, but the entire time I was just asking myself, "Why don't I play Genshin?" which I quite after Inazuma 2.2 or so. And the areas that lacked, hit me harder in the over world design, voice acting, and general plot. Usual gacha starting points are mid to bad, but being hit with Chinese writing that was poorly localized and voice actors forcing an American accent just didn't hit. Let alone character design much like the world makes my bran go: "Genshin in Unreal meme". Kuro is trying something and can appreciate their work, but it just lost me as the actual gameplay was... just not my thing. Much like Genshin, it just becomes a lot of mashing the same button with parrying & dodging involved. Issue is, I just found myself drifting out with little to no interest in the actual characters or whatever the story was going on. Yinlin so far was the only exception to this, but have no real energy to try the game again and like you noted: it's a lack of immersion. Even with echoes, the gameplay just lost me and didn't help from the UI down all kept making me think of Genshin. I hate that you could get me to spit up lots of useless Genshin stuff even now, but god help me if you asked me to remember more than 5 characters in game. Let alone the world. Sure, I could run around, but I couldn't remember anything of it that Genshin's Mondstat & Liyue (never did dragonspine as I dropped out and gave Inazuma a try again), yet I can still picture a lot of it. I could probably rant about the story, but it somehow has all the bloat of Chinese writing, says very little, and speed runs building up anyone that characters aren't even properly intergrated into the story and tries to make them seem important. I wanted to like WuWa, but the game just will be "Genshin in Unreal" meme to me.

I think it’s like the fight flight or freeze response and in this animatic he’s so scared he freezes up instead of running away
everyone is obsessed with this scene AND RIGHTFULLY SO
ikr?? as soon as I saw it I knew I was gonna try and make something lmaoo
The first animatic that actually sets the scene properly like in the show. Most put them in the open football field instead of the locker room
I was just thinking that lol
thanks! I thought it would be fun to try and create as interesting scenes as I could with such a small, cramped space.
@@t1rameesu well you did an amazing job!

Also the way his shadow almost looks like wings in his last scenes, like the line in Literal monster “like a nighthawk he preys” !!!

aaa thanks so much!
This is so cool what!!!!

Great animatic!
thank you!
Should've used the version from the proshot. The line makes more sense as "WHO will pray for me"
Spectacular animatic!

Same! I kinda like both, and find they both work at the same time? idk will branners amazing singing is all I can ever focus on lmaoo
Great job!
thanks!
@@t1rameesu you're welcome!

there is actually a full song! its from Starkid's musical Nerdy Prudes Must DIe, and the song has the same name if ur interested :]

Ok does anyone else hear him say “who will pray for me” in the live action? Or is it just me?
Yeah, the lyrics are different in the live recording.
Whatever genre this is I want more of it
not enough paranormality
😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
