    It amazed me how Atal ji is today considered 'secular' by those who demonised him throughout his career...and even the emergence of TV media contributed a lot to his loss in 2004-05....just because he was from BJP .....Nowadays same media hails him for everything that was 'good' in BJP..

    • @NeophyteCounsel
      @NeophyteCounsel 3 ปีที่แล้ว +10

      He didn’t lose because of media, infact political differences aside nobody could point a direct finger at him. Yes there was political arguments of vicarious culpability but he was never accused directly just like Manmohan Singh was never directly accused of any corruption.
      He lost the second time because of the RSS. The cadre just didn’t campaign with the same vigour . There have been many discussions in folklore on various conspiracy theories, but the one that makes most sense was that RSS wasn’t very happy with the direction of the Vajpayee regime. They saw him as soft, one who tried to appease the “enemies”. He was pro hindutva but had a very rational approach, which made him override the extremist stance of Advani & others many a times. Same was the case when he wanted Modi out after the Godhra incident but the party overrode him.

      2012 Adarsh Scam(robbing Kargil martyrs money)
      2012 tata truck scam(small scam as compared to others)
      2012 Coal Scam of 1.86 lakh crore
      The situation was so bad that in 2013 our economic growth was official 4% in no recession time. i was in England and I was hesitant of spending anything because pound was so dam expensive.
      Manmohan Singh was a mute spectator as had no say as he was not a politician but his intent was good I believe.
