Everything Ray Price ever did was fantastic and could have crossed over to a lot of us that liked all of his songs. We didn't care what they were because he's a fabulous. I'm missing.him
Remember folks, Ray was a country artist that had a huge cross over song in the late 60's called "For The Good Times". Fantastic slow dance song back then and valid today.
Bonhomie is a character trait that elevates an individual above his peers when circumstances demand greatness of spirit. The above has a leap in relevance beyond what is imaginable when such a trait is an inherent part of an individual who works in the world of show business where egocentrism prevails over people's individual values. Ray Price, a great singer, never properly rated, was one of those artists whose bonhomie stood out clearly in the eyes of good observers.
Austin City Limits is arguably the finest live music show ever and having Ray on there is just ridicuously awesome. Pure class. God bless Ray and all those Texas troubadors.
72Floyd The Texas Troubadors was Ernest Tubb's band. But both were great. Steeler Buddy Emmons (Big E) actually had played for both at different times in his early career.
Willie Nelson is the father of Austin City Limits. Ray & Willie were great friends from way back. Exactly fitting that he performed at ACL and all get to enjoy this vid.
willie played bass for ray early on, he got the call because donnie young aka johnny paycheck couldnt make the gig, willie had to wear donnie's costume, 3 sizes too small,
The new artists do not even know what it means to be a artists. They are even taking their fake country songs and turning it into rap. I’m happy I was born on the 60s grew up true country music. No one can be like Ray Price, Patsy Cline, Bobby Bare, Johnny Duncan, Barbara Mandrell, and the list goes on.
They didn't have to be half dressed and jumping around like animals , the voice and music is all that was needed!!!!!! This world & country has lost its morels with the filth of today , I say come Jesus come!!!!!!!!
I listen to this country music on the jukebox at our local vfw when was5-13 the kids today don't know good music the best music period came from the 1950s-1980s
What a magnificent voice and talent Ray will always bring a smile to 1s face when his music is playing on radio thnx Ray for the great joy and entertainment you brought to all who enjoy true country 😀 😊
LaVerne Baugher Blondie Moses Calderon. He couldn't read music, he played by ear. He died in 2000, he was one of Ray's best friends, Ray took it hard when he passed away. He played for Ray for 34 years.

It leaves a stench on the radio speakers to even call it "New Country" the new Nashville Pop should be called AC, the "ANTI-COUNTRY"
His voice will go down in history
One of the all time greats
As a young girl in Minnesota, this was my favorite song.
Absolutely WOW.... way before my time but WOW
Ray Price was the greatest god bless his soul...Thanks for all the songs Compadre...!

Beautiful song.
I love the way Ray’s back-up band chugs and churns along. So good!
I feel I hear a little of that texmex polka influence.. what do you think, buddy?
Those extra violin players had to be from Austin Philharmonic. Perfect sound and mannerisms of classic musicians.
This is it right here , only Ray Price ✨❤️🔥✨
Excellent music ! , ! thank you 😃😘♥️…
I ran into Ray and Blondie at Wal Mart here many years ago. Ray was looking at fishing gear.

My Favorite male singer and Patsy Cline as my favorite female!!
I was married to her, blue eye shadow queen of the bars in Texas.
Pocket full of sunshine
Da iawn Ray.

The "Frank Sinatra" of Country.
Pedal steeler is great but wish Buddy Emmons had been on and Night Life could have been added to the set. At least Steve was playing an Emmons steel.

@@lavernebaugher5006 I have trouble even listen to the "new" country. Who's going to fill their Shoes.
He made the piano a driving part of the old country shuffle( along with bass players) songs.
And they wear nice cloths…not dirty jeans with holes in them…trying to be the common man…which is phoned..
