- PHILIPPINES BEACH HOME LIFE CONTINUES IN CATEEL, DAVAO REGION, MINDANAO.
This video starts with a fun little message in the sand, inspired by Mama Rose and cooking me fried banana merienda! I have to say, we really had a good laugh talking about "Paasa", a term in the Philippines for "getting your hopes up". From that moment, I find myself trying some sort of strange palm fruit that is growing in front of our house! Did you know you can eat this? Is there a special way to cook it? I will look into it more in the future... but for now, time for a super hot spring!! I call it super, because it is freaking boiling hot right now!
In the second half of this video, I go on a little mission to find a swimming area in Cateel. But instead, I find myself in a rural sitio... I took the wrong route (if using motor). But hey, I really enjoyed seeing another beautiful Filipino community. One that is part of my home here in Cateel, Davao, Mindanao.
Philippines beach home life in the Province...

I have a deep affection for Davao Oriental, as it holds a special place in my heart. Although I was raised in Davao City, my school friends in the early 1970s hailed from various towns in Davao Oriental such as Baganga, Caraga, Cateel, and Gov Generoso, among others. The mention of these places fills me with nostalgia, evoking memories of the times when I was invited to join in their vibrant fiestas. Now, as a septuagenarian residing in Europe, the longing for my homeland is palpable. However, watching your vlogs has been a source of solace, as they bring back a flood of joyous recollections. Thank you, Kulas, for helping me reconnect with my cherished past.
Septuagenarian is the word of the day!

Pasalig is the word in Bisaya!
It is good that you don't stay longer in Canada because the closer to saba is plantain ( now, we do have frozen saba).
if it's my first to watch your vlog, I would have thought that cute kid is your son, you look alike.
Nice place that you have explored Kulas! That boy in your house is Kumar's son? Murag liwat man nimo Kulas. He looks like you.
the tree with the red fruits like a pineapple is called the Pandanus tree. The polynisian people use the leaves to weave sleeping and fine mats. The fruits they use it to make lei, cause it smells so sweet and is not an edible seed
I’m like 10 episodes behind.
Beautiful Bagangga! Are the people there called Dabawenyo? I'm wondering who are the dabawenyos
my favorite banana snack is Turon!
Some great news, one can bring to the US fried bananas. I did declare it at the airport, then was allowed to bring it here.
Kumar is nice and cool guy very responsible ❤
Its like not breaking a promise

Thats a Zoan type fruit the Gomu Gomu no mi fruit.😋😊😋
That plant with the holes in the leaf looks like Monkey Mask Monstera, I have one at home
Go oilers Go. Going to stanley cup final.
I think they should call it volcano fruit because it looks like a fiery volcano...

Mama rose is adorable Kulas
Monstera deliciosa I think or family of Monstera
Is it paasa if you say we are going to Binaruto Rock Formation but never take us there? Hahah! Looks like you should have turned left just before you arrived at the village with the basketball court. The road to the left continues to Binaruto.
Nice to see the plant on the tree (Monstera deliciosa - Or commonly here "Swiss Cheese Plant") as a thriving outdoor plant. Have one on my mantlepiece in the UK
💪💪💪
And love the way you interact with Kids...Will put you in good stead.
Tell us more how you feel so confident about leaving your motorcycle somewhere and hiking out away from it. I know trust begets trust..
I think ! I think ! It is much safer in the province than in Manila.

Is there anything you can do to highlight not chucking litter on the beach on the street or even out their front door. 🤷🏼♂️

Kulas you are so good
Where’s Pato pie the duck?
the name of the plant is adonsoni

Galing naman , Cateel pala is a big place at dami ng coconut trees 🌴
Kinsay bisaya diri b agi mos channel nko
The fruit looks like a fire ball
🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
Hehehehe ayaw paasa
haha apir!
Kulas❤❤
Amping
I agree that one should never be paasa because if one is paasa, then it might become like the story of The Boy Who Cried Wolf and people will no longer believe someone who has a reputation of being Paasa even if they aren't acting like Paasa anymore.
And I see there are some returning faces from older vlogs in this vlog episode, like the owners of the karenderya and that kid Alon, who I remember during the series of vlogs where one episode had his mother cooking some Apfelringe(spelling?) while Kumar cooks Lapu Lapu fish Escabeche and Mama Rose sent over some Lechon Belly.
#KUMAR DA PLANTITO❤
Nice. ❤❤❤ 🎉🎉🎉
thats a good fruit brad with alot of vitamins.if you want to make sure just watch jessica soho show..you know the benefits of that fruit...
