Dude..I called this like 5 years ago!! As soon as I found out she was a Christian, I’m like I’m sold. I followed her music since, and I’ve been saying she has a gospel voice and should do that kind of music. Goes to show that when you speak things into existence by faith, they will come to pass!

One thing I respect about Tori Kelly is she has always credited her African heritage and influences for her soulful voice. And now, she's doing the same with her Christian beliefs. She can easily pass and be a big pop star, but she chooses to stay true to herself. That takes a lot of courage and strength. And God has honored her for it. Always thought she had a beautiful voice and can't listen to this song without crying. So happy for her!!!!! 🙌🏾✨

Swedish Swede And sing. Not enough mainstream Christian music tries to tell a story in regards to being saved or whatever message they’re trying to convey. If that’s something you’re into, then the Gaither Vocal Band (at least with some of the older line ups) do the trick. It also helps that they had some powerhouse singers back then.

My mom loved the Lord with all her heart and died early at 51. As a small child I would see her in the kitchen doing dishes and she would be singing this old song. My how I miss her tonight. Hug your living loved ones and tell them how much you love them because when the Lord takes them home it will change you forever. I am 65 now but I still remember her singing this like it was yesterday. May this song bring you hope and comfort!

I get the feeling that this album is gonna wrap me up and keep me warm during the fall
There was a time I was going through a season and felt very alone. I did not know what to do. So I prayed about it. I wonder was this my season of isolation thinking God set me apart to change me. So I put all my effort in trying to better myself. I realized that I was still doing that alone. Don’t get me wrong bettering yourself is good but there are things greater than this. God tells us to love God and put no other gods before Him. But to love our neighbor as ourselves.It was not a season of isolation .I realized it was the opposite. This is a season of communion for me and more importantly the start of a seasons of dependency on God. Don’t get me wrong you need both hard work and faith. But I believe i spent too much time focusing on the work. I thought if I started excercising I did this that and the third that would make people want to be around me. But that’s not what I needed to do. I just needed to turn my heart towards God and He brought me people along the way. Many people think that you just need God and that’s it. But no we need eachother. Slowly but surely people came out to reach out to me. Not just any people but people of God. I got to join a Christian run club . And spent more time in a youth Bible study group. Church members reached out to me.They encouraged me and guided me, and helped me to grow in my faith. I pray they continue to do so. Which gave me the courage to reach out to others myself.
2 Corinthians 1:4 says
Who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God.
I learned how it feels to be lonely so I want to help others now. Now I get so busy I dont get much time to be lonely to the point now I crave alone time. I’m thankful because God is faithful. Seek first the kingdom of God and all these things will be given onto you. Whether that be peace, a job, or anything. Wait and trust in the LORD! And remember you are never alone! Even though people will let you down God won’t and He’ll bring you the people you need ❤ God bless you all

In the Bible App, Tori has an 8-day Devotional. In trying to achieve my “Mid Year Badge,” I said I silent prayer for a devotional that I needed...and achieve my badge (in the app). I was led to her devotional and I thank God for it and for her.
Day 7 she mentions being alone and I can relate to that feeling...even when there are so many others around you. She goes on to talk about her personal journey & experience and how God reminded her she was never alone. I literally was thinking that before even reading the devotional.
