I wish there was a fineokay for every role teaching me as effectively as you do. I’m not even a solo main but I feel like I play that role the most effectively just because I watch your videos so ofyen
Going axe feels like just giving up any form of early pressure. You can't outtrade or outclear the other items and this season seems so reliant on hyperfarming that the lack of damage on the item slows you down.
If the solo laner has manekins they can solo blue and hit 3 on the second wave, this allows the jungler to solo speed>back harpie>mid harpies(skipping the small harpies camp) and you get both to mid harpies by the time the enemy jungler is on blue buff. Obviously this won't be viable after they nerf manekins scepter but I feel like it's more optimal pathing for the jungler to confirm that neutral mid farm.
I like getting tainted steel later as my antiheal item later on. It either gives you the most antiheal of any single item when upgraded, or adds heal-steal on top of it, which can be just as useful in different ways. This obviously means a boots or item rush build will be required, but it is certainly a decent item if you are a more ability focused character, and your support either already built you know they are going into an aura. Obviously, if you were a more basic attack focused character, then toxic blade would make more sense than it, but you should get the idea.
Animosity has to be my favorite "starter" by far. After playing around with it a bit, I can at least say building toxic blade with it is a must. Toxic has flat pen for both damage types so it works with the Animosity passive even on warriors! And every other stat on toxic just works so well with animosity!
I'm a big fan of using Bumbas Hammer, yes it removes any semblance of early game bullying and reduces your lane clear potential by a lot, but what it does do is let's you invade their jungle and clear your own at really fast speeds to compensate and if you can hold out until level 20 I was able to turn characters like Tsuku and Osiris into unkillable monsters in the late game Bonus build, solo Nu Wa with Bumbas Hammer, lifesteal boots, Chronos Pendant, Rod of Tahuti, Lonos Mask and any counter item you need (usually a defense or health item) as long as you're not getting hard focused by rotations and the game doesn't end early you can top damage even with reduced damage due to the sheer out of bots and stuns you're able to throw out in a team fight
Thanks Fine, been playing with Cthu+Warriors and Manakins+Bellona and both have felt great :D Side note, he did the Matt Mercer "sigil" thing lol Critters? Anyone?
Warding sigil is very strong in non-conquest game modes. Build it with oni hunters and spirit robe and you have an unhealthy amount of percent mitigations. I did 67k mitigated in 19 minutes for an arena. It's a lot of magical defense but the percent mitigations is what you're after. So if any of you are playing non-conquest you should try it.
I’ve been using tainted steel in mid mostly and it’s been really nice. I’ve been going up against a lot of Anubis and Ra in mid so it’s been working out nicely. If the enemy team has two or more healers, early tainted steel is worth it IMO.
With Terra getting Cleave on her autos while a stone is up (2 or 3) you can start with her 3 and use it to block minions at base to make enemy solo lose minions and xp. Manikins plus the cleave give her plenty of clear for lvl 1/2. I've been having a ton of success with this so far.
i do have one suggestion, manikins on terra is pretty strong. Her auto attack cleave works with it and you can clear archers at level 1 with just 3 autos or so
I think most guardians and mages like Zk or Hades have to build Warriors Axe because Vampiric upgraded version is kinda meeh. The sustain is nice, but its just that, sustain and dmg, and you cant even stack lifesteal constantly because you dont have low cds on these gods (I think its an item exclusive for He bo lmao). The only god in solo I like Vampiric with is Artio since it provides her with so much hp/mana sustain and you can spam the lifesteal of the upgraded version since you have so many abilities to proc it. About Tainted steel, I do like it just with Cerb, its so abusive honestly. Having that item with Cerb you have 40% antiheal bc of Cerb's passive + that starter, and also gives you power and prots from both sources, I don't think that is possible to outtrade Cerb with that item. Also I like the upgraded version of it, tainted Amulet, making him to have his passive from healing him 50% to 100+50= 150%. And about animosity, I find it so risky. If the enemy has a starter item, specially an agressive one like bluestone or manikin and you dont have starter because youre waiting for animosity I think they will abuse you so much and you will probably be out of the game for so long and maybe you lose the game before you get animosity, idk. Btw, Warrior's Axe and its upgrade version still have true dmg.
I hope we get more tank starter items in solo maybe 2 extra with a diffrent passive from warriors axe so you can have a variaty in builds. we have 3 squishy dmg items in solo in manikin, death toll and blue stone which is nice already. But it would suck to build warriors axe everytime like we did with warriors blessing.
FO, idk if you have tested dominance and exe or not yet. But they go beyond the 40% cap right now. You can build berskerers, serrated edge, dominance, exe and all of that pen stacks up. It's absolutely nutty. Add a frostbound and qins or something and it is honestly terrifying.
Constantly torn between stacking bluestone with crusher for insane lane pressure and taking warding seagull so I can stack mitigations and actually be a tank late
Everyone should be aware that once things settle down, starts may shift to some degree, likely revolving around blue. Reason being that Bellona with manikins can solo invade your blue the entire time you do speed and backs. Yes, even through the invader's curse. So jungle and solo starts are subject to change revolving around things like that. If you see the enemy solo pick Bellona, it should be assumed that she's going to invade you and go place your free ward on your own blue just in case she does. There's plenty of time to get back to clear speed, so don't worry about missing it. If she does and you're able to catch her, she's 100% dead via invader's curse. If she doesn't, worst case scenario is you're down a free ward that will be back up by the time the enemy jungler even thinks about looking at you. So you really lose nothing. If she does get your blue, you may never see it again because manikins gives her A LOT of pressure and you aren't going to out clear her with pretty much any god at this point.
What is your opinion on starting manakin on Sylvanus in the solo lane? His area attack, which lets him apply the burn to multiple enemies at once, lets him clear camps and the wave very quickly at levels 1-5, which lets you bully your opponent under their tower and take all the farm from the jungle, totem (manakin can obliterate totem early on), and scorpion. I've even managed to get kills at level 2 against cu chulainn and other top solo gods just by out clearing the wave, rooting with the 1 and letting my surviving minions wail on them.
In solo i like going whichever starter item i think would be good on the god im playing, then go tier 1 sledge, then go boots, then finish sledge, then go off of the enemy team because i feel like sledge is really good
What you think of the War Flags, fineO? I feel like Spartan Flag is good on solo, the radius is huge, and you have it always active. As solo, you get lv17 before everyone, and that Flag can help your team dominate the transition to late game. Of course, starting it isn't a good idea, so you would have to go that boots start, or maybe round shield
@@kieranpearson5096 how so? It's not avoidable, the power boost is if your allies stand in the radius, the enemy has no control over it except if they back out. not the case, sentinels embrace is ABSURD. I feel like Manikins and Deaths toll is pretty much carry for osiris. They both require auto attacks and manikins foes more damage but deaths toll gives more lifesteal due to how much health you have. Soooooo they are more or less almost the same for osiris.
Hey Alec! I was wondering how you felt about warbanner on serqet solo and building similar to, I believe it was, season 5 guardians blessing start on serqet solo. Thanks for all the s8 content!
So the thing with Tainted Steel I feel like Cerberus could rock that very well if he gets that level 20 upgrade with the stealing the reduced healing. So he would just heal an insane amount on anyone running fat life steal.
I’ve found that bluestone boots gaia makes you unkillable and unboxable. You will sacrafice some prots late so you can keep it or sell it. But gaia and bluestone early is 45 hp5
I've been doing Ah Puch solo a lot recently and I don't feel bad about going Sands of Time because I tend to build health items and The Alternate Timeline's stats are pretty decent for a hybrid solo.
I've been on a puch solo grind for a hot minute, and I feel like shroud is nutty, you can 1 the wave and pick up bodies and get full mana and 100 ish health back
Perhaps Cerberus passive and Tainted Steel can reach critical mass and be decent. I'm sure that vampiric and warrior's would be better, but sometimes it isn't about winning, is about the opponent losing.
I have taken over 400 damage from a jungle nem from manikin’s sceptre alone when I was even with her and I was in solo. She also had Qin’s which did 450, and she hits hard so I did die. But she never ulted me, and she wasn’t lv20 yet do manikin’s wasn’t upgraded. Manikins is beyond broken right now
When you said probably warriors axe for Arthur, I thought no way that it would be better than bluestone on Arthur but then sure enough I got a mirror match against a pretty decent Arthur and he went bluestone/warrior boots/soul eater/void shield and I went warriors axe/tank boots/stone of gaia/glad shield and at around level 12+ I was out trading him for the rest of the game, I did have to play very careful at levels 1-5 though
Idk about high tier games but in my lobies I'd say I'm above average. Zhong qui solo is still amazing Use the axe on him. U literally get free hp every time ur stuff off cool down pretty much
Turn your mic up on future recordings, its better to have a loud voice rather than loud music for these tutorials. Other than that I honestly appreciate everything you do GOAT
Isnt blue stone also a problem going into a starter like manakin scepter or warriors axe that the flat damage reduction kinda mitigates a good portion of the blue stone damage? I thought i heard someone say that blue stone works different from last time where it does its damage in 4 ticks instead of 2. So manakin mitagates 12 and warriors 8 of whatever is left after base protections.
Have been popping off with this build on cu chu boots, chalice tier 1 gauntlet/ greaves, gauntlet , sledge, dominance, animosity, spirit robe or hide of urchin he so tanky n hits autos hard
Manikens isn't as good as you think on AA gods. It works if you know who you're going to be laning against, but that's the problem. You don't. Death's Toll is much more useful in the scenarios you don't, and does fine into literally every starter item it can go against. It also helps Erlang most since he has dramatic mana problems. Also, not a fan of the Erlang build. Barely any CDR and that's a problem when you're already deciding not to go for sustain. And no, you're not going to get the scorpion considering the only lane bully AA god is Bellona. Manikens doesn't give you outtrade on aa gods since they don't have sustain. It only useful for jungle farm, in which case you're kinda screwing your jungler. Also you'll be wanting for lots of pots since you have no sustain. The minor defenses don't save manikens, and you're prayin' you get that lategame (and that you'll even be able to abuse it) with manikens. Better as a jungler item. You could argue the axe instead but i don't think that's going to be enough for an AA god. If manikens is this valued than there is no reason not to value the fact erlang double procs death's toll. Also upgraded bluestone is viable and useful. Especially on Arthur. It procs on everything, FG and Titans included. Abuse it. Don't suggest swapping it for tank items when you can just sell boots for another tank item.
Why is bluestone recommended on sunwukong vs manikin? I get Arthur and Tyr have lots of abilities to spam and take advantage of bluestone, so I’m just wondering how sunwukong made that list. Thanks!
Personally I know I’m a nobody but what I think is people are gonna catch on and good players will just ward the path to blue to see if you try to go for blue that way after you insta clear speed and you’re on your way to exps you’ll see the person trying to go for it and punish it that’s just my 2 cents
no point when you can get level 3 from the 2nd wave if you just do normal start that Fineo has stated. Invading will only delay both of you and your opponent's level 2.
Khesora not necessarily because if people don’t know and you do the start you get their blue and you’re and have almost the same amount of experience while also hitting wave while they don’t hit 2 cause they don’t get blue but it’s a risk start overall and would only do it if you see their comp has slower clear speed imo giving you less room for error but also with the warding the pathing that’s just stops it completely and think that if it happens enough that’s what should be a response to that but that the same time the casual player so behind on what’s “good” that we will see how it would turn out only 3 days of season 8 I’m sure wonky stuff will happen
I seem to do really bad early game and midish game. Maybe it's because I never played solo much but now I am, but I feel like I'll get ganked a lot if I'm winning or I'll get behind fast. Maybe I just need more practice on it

Thanks a lot, Alec.
Bluestone ne zha is back feelsgoodman
thanks fineokay
Why is bluestone recommended on sunwukong vs manikin? I get Arthur and Tyr have lots of abilities to spam and take advantage of bluestone, so I’m just wondering how sunwukong made that list. Thanks!
Glad I stayed up tonight to see this
Have you tried manikin athena? Seems pubstompy with the proc on her throw and the cleaves
Sylv with scepter is lit
Great vid fine! also how do u enable hitboxes and that blue line that you have in front of your character?
Thoughts on invading their first blue with Manikin? Saw Nika do it and I've successfully done it twice now, nobody expects it
Personally I know I’m a nobody but what I think is people are gonna catch on and good players will just ward the path to blue to see if you try to go for blue that way after you insta clear speed and you’re on your way to exps you’ll see the person trying to go for it and punish it that’s just my 2 cents
no point when you can get level 3 from the 2nd wave if you just do normal start that Fineo has stated.
@@abdi7544 how? You can’t do speed, xp camps and invade. There’s literally no way without missing wave. No point.
I literally have always warded my blue and since my Jungle will be there aswell your not getting it
that early upload DAYUM
Would set be good with animosity?
I seem to do really bad early game and midish game. Maybe it's because I never played solo much but now I am, but I feel like I'll get ganked a lot if I'm winning or I'll get behind fast. Maybe I just need more practice on it
the different between warrior axe and warrior blessing is the fact u don't also steal mana only health. and u get less protections
Would tainted be good against hades and ra solos? or is it not worth it over the other items
Great vid fineo :)
Warding "sidge-ill" is the pronunciation fellas
