How to win:
1. Play pawn to e4
2. Use lifeline for all the other moves and do scholars mate.

Optimal cannonball strat appears to be to at least wait until the computer has made a few moves and for the most part not crossed half the board, then cannonball.
Because doing it on the first move essentially allows the bot to then make moves accordingly, whereas getting a piece captured once they have established development could impact their position much more dramatically from a positional standpoint

@@fn_cxrsed2984 nah
@Morribyte That doesn't contradict his point, though. His idea is to let the bot play a few moves so when the cannonball hits (which, as you pointed out, is equally likely), its more likely to be disruptive to their strategy.
An easy example is 1. e4 e5 hit e5 with a cannonball. In this scenario, hitting e5 is better than hitting it while it was on e7 because they spent a tempo on it - plus, hitting the bishop or queen that were prepared to develop would be more valuable of a hit, too.
Basically, since it's still equal odds to hit, your goal should be to maximize the impact of a hit.

Idea: Chess against the highest rated bot, but you’re allowed to trade in your pieces to change the bot - for every point of material that you trade in (by just deleting off the board), you change the bot twice, going down in rating until you get to Martin.

Here’s an idea, but I don’t know if the computer can be programmed to do it. How about every time you capture a piece, you have to demote that piece. For instance, if a queen captures a piece, now that queen is a rook. If a rook captures a piece, it turns into a bishop. If a bishop captures, it turns into a knight. And if a knight captures, it turns into a pawn. Could you beat Martin with such a restriction?
You can do that manually why would you need to programm anything
It can be programmed but its hard
I think reverse chess could be cool. Find a random position and first player to return their pieces (minus pawns) to the starting position wins
I like the creative ideas when playing chess, it adds a new flair to watching chess.
20:47 maybe knight to g8 sacrificing the knight in an attempt to protect the pawn into promotion. At least it gives you options
On the first game you could have sacrificed the bishop and Bxh7+. Then captured the pawn on e5. Then instead of being down a rook for a bishop you would have been down a bishop for two pawns and opened their king up a little.
On the first Martin lifeline, around 6:30, I think you need to do something a bit crazy if you're going to put Martin in. Instead of exf4, why not Rb8 and hope to snipe the second rook with check? A Martin move only helps if you can get a colossal blunder out of the deal, tbh - without that, your cannonball could hit the queen and Stockfish would probably still beat you.
(Back in 2020, Komodo beat Hikaru 5-0-3 when Hikaru had double-pawn odds, so fairness against a top GM is probably bishop or rook odds, somewhere in there. And you're good, but you're not Hikaru-tier good. So queen odds might be a decent game, but I think you're still the underdog there. You need a big blunder from Martin, not just a pawn or two.)
Edit: Yeah, you started doing this later on, and it really helped.
I destroyed Komodo25 in 4 moves(Scholar’s Mate). Does that mean I’m better than Hikaru?
@@suleimansheikh7638 I think it means you set up the bot wrong somehow.
It would be cool to see a video analyzing the games you lost!
Challenge: Play stockfish in a "blitz ladder" tournament. Start with you having all of your pieces, and stockfish only has king and pawns, and play blitz. You should win easily. Then, start adding stockfish's pieces back, starting with the queen and working your way down, and see how far you can get before it beats you.
Absolutely incredible how much counterplay can stockfish create out of thin air with so few pieces
21:19 you had to sac the rooook😂😂
Love these types of videos
2:50 This is definitely where I would have called on Martin. He might not protect his queen and he might not take yours.
Hey chess vibes im a new sub and ive learned a lot from you.
I have a challenge: chess but martin has some help. When he moves you spin a wheel to see what martin will do. The things that will help martin on the well are: one extra move, a rewind, a cannon, piece crate (basically drop a martin-side pawn in the center and if the both center squares are occupied then put the piece around the center) and the royal call (when martin has less than 4 pieces but you have more than 5 a martin side queen will drop on the up left and up right corner and can only apear on the well when the rules i named earlier are did corectly).
Good luck

i mean it's surprising that it took 4 times to do win,I mean martin always hangs the queen. It should be obvious you can just atk his queen and change to martin
Fun Fact: Martin wont take a piece if its defended. Example: if the knight can take ur queen and a bishop is defending, martin wont take it. (WORKS 90 PERCENT OF THE TIME) AND WONT WORK IF HES IN CHECK

Bro you’ve done this before but did you just bible quote my comment?
I'm pretty confident KRBN v KR is winning. Because black can't lose the rook for any of white's pieces, and it can't even trade it for the bishop and knight. So basically neither the King nor Rook can be captured, and you have three pieces with distinct movesets to try to form some tactic to win either of black's pieces.
Stockfish Arcade Legends
You play with white. Your game score starts at zero and goes up by one after each Stockfish turn for each point of material you control. Try to score big until Game Over.
How high do you think you can score? Cash in your allowance for a roll of quarters. Thumbnail can feature pinball LED 3-letter name tag next to mystery high score.
In the 1st game Martin stabbed Nelson in the back 😂
At 2:35 you can kill the horse with the e4 horse and do Martin you can before killed by the queen but the bishop can kill him
Let’s go Martin!!! SUPREME RULER!!! ✨🙇🏾✨
Chess against stockfish, but it's 2 against 1. You play two boards against stockfish, one black and one white. When you capture on one board, you get to place the piece on the other board as in bughouse. When stockfish takes, it does not get the ability to place pieces. You must alternate boards you play on.
7:36 wouldn't placing the pawn on F7 fork one of the rooks with the king?
Nice idea! You could try playing against the max engine, but with the ability to promote on the 7th (or 2nd) rank.
Nice idea, Rob!
If it ended up being too easy you could make it so that you only get minor pieces from early promotions 😊
"I'm up a rook"
Doesn't bother moving either rook :D

4:22 I think Bxh7+ is the best move here
Black will go Kxh7 and we go Rxe5 and knight is protected by rook on d1
We got 2 pawns and opponents king in a more dangerous positon for 1 bishop
Thats probably the best we can do
very fun video to watch. I actually was able to draw the 3200 engine with knight odds twice. 1 game I lost and then I draw 2 games. The second game I had a winning endgame of knight and bishop vs king but was few moves away to checkmate and draw due to 50 moves rule. but not with 3 pawns down as he was able to activate his queen and bishops quickly.
He didn’t see a queen fork and didn’t see a free knight
Ok
At 3:36 in the video, you should have done knight takes e6
4:28 I think better move would be rook to c3 so then when he takes your knight, you take his bishop
He just takes the knight with the bishop
29:13
Hey chess vibes you missed a move knight to e7 is a fork
Forking the king and the queen
He’s in check
You shouldn’t use the cannon right away, you should wait until their pieces are developed so that a missing piece will ruin their structure. If you use it at the beginning, their structure isn’t gonna be damaged enough
I thought you meant martin was gonna be working with you bro
20:27 i think rook to e1 was the best move
4:20 why doesn't 1. bxh7+ kxh7 2. rxe5 work? that only loses a bishop, but you remove one of the attackers on your knight and simultaneously attack the bishop, forcing it to move.
Chess but Nelson has special powers will be a perfect title 😂

@@fn_cxrsed2984 I do not believe in Gods. Sorry sir
At 4:22, why did you give up your rook? Seems like moving it to C3 and then taking the black square bishop after losing your knight was a good trade. What am I missing?
That's what I was thinking too
But Bxd4 is the best move for black and as you know it stockfish plays the best move. In this scenario your suggestion will not work so that's what you're missing
you should try chess but martin is your teammate against stockfish. You will make a move, but before stockfish goes Martin moves for you too. Then stockfish goes. Martin cant checkmate for you so if he does his turn is undone and skipped
In the first game you could've won by letting the pawn advance to be queen because that would've been mate
nah when the queen trade happened he should put the bisop on the check then martin move
youre thinking about the martin move wrong
you have to attack his queen when its martins turn
I think the title should be Chess but Nelson has powers to defeat stockfish

Challenge idea chess but Martin can move twice
I think you could have won earlier if you were saving the extra pawn lifeline more. It feels like a pawn suddenly appearing in the endgame when Stockfish doesn't expect it could make a real difference. Maybe it could also help sneakily stop some tactics at various moments. It's just a feeling of course, who knows how it would go.
4:27 Bxh7+ is probably the best move
That just loses the bishop along with the knight?
@@user-dh8oi2mk4f this loses the bishop for 2 pawns instead of the knight
In the first game, at 3:05, I think you could have played Nb5 and switched to Martin. There's a good chance he'll miss the fork.
Wow im surprised u needed so many tries for this challenge
should have went rook c3 at 4:24
What is the difference is MM, IM, FM, and GM
Missed putting the pawn on f7 and forking the king and the rook and the king can't take because it's protected by the rook on b7
The pawn can only go on the second or third rank
When he lost his first rook he should of played knight e6
If this engine is on practice mode I don't think it is rated 3200. It is more closely 2300-2500. The regular maximum engine isn't even rated 3200 its about 3000 so this one plays even faster so it's significantly weaker
At 2:26, why not B×f6 threatening the queen and change to martin hoping that martin would blunder the queen
Romans 5:8 KJV states, "But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

Martin will definitely take that back
Stockfish on his return from Martin "how much did I drink last night to end up in this position". Lol
How to win chess : Just Win
Feel like the best strat is "Cannonball turn 1 2 or 3". As soon as you can make a move that attacks his queen, use the martin save. He'll almost certainly blunder the queen.
SUGGESTION: Your army is constantly losing moral.
After each of your moves, you must do one of the following:
1, Demote a Queen to a Rook.
2. Demote a Rook to a Knight or Bishop.
3, Demote a Knight or Bishop to a Pawn.
4. Remove a Pawn from the board.
You cannot remove a Pawn if that would leave you in check, and if you demote a Knight or Bishop on a promotion square you may then immediately promote the Pawn as normal.
So just get both bishops to the other end of the board and you instantly gain two queens in the the end game and lose instantly because EVERY ONE OF YOUR MOVES you gain a disadvantage.
Bro missed c6 like 1000 times in the last game. He could have hit 2 pieces easily forcing a trade and maybe even winning material
