@Morribyte That doesn't contradict his point, though. His idea is to let the bot play a few moves so when the cannonball hits (which, as you pointed out, is equally likely), its more likely to be disruptive to their strategy. An easy example is 1. e4 e5 hit e5 with a cannonball. In this scenario, hitting e5 is better than hitting it while it was on e7 because they spent a tempo on it - plus, hitting the bishop or queen that were prepared to develop would be more valuable of a hit, too. Basically, since it's still equal odds to hit, your goal should be to maximize the impact of a hit.

On the first Martin lifeline, around 6:30, I think you need to do something a bit crazy if you're going to put Martin in. Instead of exf4, why not Rb8 and hope to snipe the second rook with check? A Martin move only helps if you can get a colossal blunder out of the deal, tbh - without that, your cannonball could hit the queen and Stockfish would probably still beat you. (Back in 2020, Komodo beat Hikaru 5-0-3 when Hikaru had double-pawn odds, so fairness against a top GM is probably bishop or rook odds, somewhere in there. And you're good, but you're not Hikaru-tier good. So queen odds might be a decent game, but I think you're still the underdog there. You need a big blunder from Martin, not just a pawn or two.) Edit: Yeah, you started doing this later on, and it really helped.
Here’s an idea, but I don’t know if the computer can be programmed to do it. How about every time you capture a piece, you have to demote that piece. For instance, if a queen captures a piece, now that queen is a rook. If a rook captures a piece, it turns into a bishop. If a bishop captures, it turns into a knight. And if a knight captures, it turns into a pawn. Could you beat Martin with such a restriction?
Am I wrong or did you miss a fork at 29:10 with knight to e7 to check the king and win the queen? Is there a reason for not doing that? I've probably missed something because the bot moved its queen into that fork which is suspicious haha
i mean it's surprising that it took 4 times to do win,I mean martin always hangs the queen. It should be obvious you can just atk his queen and change to martin
Fun Fact: Martin wont take a piece if its defended. Example: if the knight can take ur queen and a bishop is defending, martin wont take it. (WORKS 90 PERCENT OF THE TIME) AND WONT WORK IF HES IN CHECK

4:20 why doesn't 1. bxh7+ kxh7 2. rxe5 work? that only loses a bishop, but you remove one of the attackers on your knight and simultaneously attack the bishop, forcing it to move.

4:22 I think Bxh7+ is the best move here Black will go Kxh7 and we go Rxe5 and knight is protected by rook on d1 We got 2 pawns and opponents king in a more dangerous positon for 1 bishop Thats probably the best we can do
I'm pretty confident KRBN v KR is winning. Because black can't lose the rook for any of white's pieces, and it can't even trade it for the bishop and knight. So basically neither the King nor Rook can be captured, and you have three pieces with distinct movesets to try to form some tactic to win either of black's pieces.
