Listen to his rendition of "In the bleak midwinter" for the chance of experiencing a one and a half step modulation to G half sharp in the space of only four chords where he explores the differences in between well-tempered and just intonation. It still blows my mind. Being able to sing microtonal cluster chords harmonising with himself is so otherworldly.

My son actually asked if we could listen to my new CD, and he sat through it all and knew every song. I am pretty proud of his musical knowledge and taste.....as he wasn't born when these songs were out. I was a fan of Sha Na Na when he was a kid, so he heard all that stuff from an early age. We had a nice bonding moment listening to this. And it brought back so many great memories! I got his autographed CD. And I will anxiously await Vol.2.

I am looking forward to the whole album as I love this classic doo-wop music from the 50's-60's. I know all the songs on the new cd & plan to order it. This song "Come Go With Me" is by The Dell-Vikings from 1957. Tim's voice is perfect for this style of music as he can sing in all the different ranges. Doo-wop is a vocal style of rock & roll characterized by the a cappella singing of nonsense syllables in rhythmical support of the melody.

There's a great tradition of street-corner singing that launched the doo-wop craze of the '50s. The Del-Vikings' recording of this song is one of my top favorites, as is My Prayer by The Platters, The Crewcuts' recording of Sh-Boom, and In The Still Of The NIght by The Five Satins. They're just good songs, and the vocal arrangements make them better. Great reaction!
Tim Foust is terrific, and this is one of the greatest songs from the Doo Wop era, but it affirmatively was not by the Temptations. The group was the Del-Vikings, famous for this song and for Whispering Bells, as well as being one of the the first (and only) mixed-race Doo Wop groups. He does a terrific cover.
