The 125 Heritage group at the Colne Valley Railway in Essex | Power car Tour |

In this video we head down to the Colne Valley Railway located in Castle Hedingham in Essex to have a look at the operations of a new Heritage group which has been established. 125 Heritage are a new group of volenteers based at the Colne Valley who aim to preserve and run three Intercity 125 Powercars and three MK3 coaches at the railway.
They have recently obtained 43082, 43073 & 43071. These three powercars have all been stored since they left service, and are now based at the Colne Valley Railway. 43082 & 43073 being ex Midland Mainline Powercars, are fitted with Paxman VP185 Power Units. Whereas 43071 is an ex Great Western Powercar which is fitted with an MTU 16V4000 Power unit. We popped down to the Colne Valley's regular running day where they had their BR class 03 & Austerity WD190 Tank loco running.
43082 & 43073 were sat in the platform at Sible Hedingham Station. We were lucky enough to receive a tour of the interrior of 43082 while it was stationary. Then after the tour and some pictures we were given a look around the yard, and got to see 43071 and the MK3 coaches the group own. Our tour was conducted safely with permission whilst being supervised by a member of staff.
The group hope to have the powercars running by next year once they have all been preped and made ready for service.
