‘ปกป้องฝืนป่าและเฝ้าระวังสัตว์ป่า’
“อุทยานแห่งชาติกุยบุรี รวมถึงเขตพื้นที่ป่าอนุรักษ์อื่น ๆ มีการใช้ระบบ SMART Patrol หรือการลาดตะเวนเชิงคุณภาพในการเฝ้าระวังอย่างมีประสิทธิภาพ” กล่าวโดย นายอรรถพงษ์ เภาอ่อน หัวหน้าอุทยานแห่งชาติกุยบุรี
ระบบ SMART Patrol หรือการลาดตะเวนเชิงคุณภาพจะเก็บข้อมูลต่าง ๆ ไม่ว่าจะเป็นภัยคุกคาม ร่องรอยสัตว์ป่า และพืชพันธุ์เด่น ๆ รวมไปถึงการตรวจสอบกิจกรรมที่ผิดกฏหมายภายในพื้นที่อุทยานฯ เพื่อรักษาความปลอดภัยให้ช้างและสัตว์ป่าอื่น ๆ นอกจากนี้ WWF ยังให้ความสำคัญกับการให้ความรู้และสนับสนุนเครื่องมือที่จำเป็นให้กับเจ้าหน้าที่ลาดตระเวน

‘Protecting the Forest and Monitoring Wildlife’
“Kuiburi National Park, like other wildlife sanctuaries, utilize the SMART Patrol system for quality monitoring,” said Mr. Attapong Pao-On, Chief of Kuiburi National Park.
The SMART Patrol System tracks possible threats, animals and rare plant species, while monitoring illegal activities within the park to ensure safety for wild elephants and other wildlife. WWF focuses on providing officials with knowledge and providing them with essential tools for patrols.
