This song is fricking AMAZING. I like the wordplay in the title as well because the word "they" implies that the colors are people. The colors can be emotions that each have their own way of torturing the person.

i love sitting alone in my room, in the dark, in the middle of the night, watching this video fullscreened on my laptop. its such an experience that i cant entirely put words to. if you just stare into the middle of the box and take it all in from your peripheral vision, it feels like youre getting sucked in and being hypnotized. it's amazing. i really recommend people try it if their eyes arent too sensitive to it.

i think I found the dark meaning behind this song, the person inside is mentally damaged, and locked him/herself inside to isolate themselves, possibly due to depression or loss of a loved one. the colors may represent emotions. black = sadness and grief. red = rage, lust, anger. green = insanity, hallucinations. blue = acceptance, knowing that they will never be the same again. black = leaving the room, after a long time of being isolated.

Red: Giving hardcore breakcore vibes here lol. Everything is red and insanely fast and intense. But at 0:56 it says “CORE OVERLOAD,” so this could represent getting overwhelmed by something. After that, it just spams the letter “A” in hiragana, katakana, and kanji. At 1:14, the Japanese says, “rhythm different!” I’m not exactly sure what it signifies, but it could be a transition to the next color.

1:54 this is almost definitely in latin (or italian idk bro I only study latin) but I can't hear/don't understand some of the words

okay i tried my best to transcribe what was being said, by speeding up the voice clip in e2 mono or speech, pitching it up while using e3 generic stretching, and i got in Latin, "chatumest vel in retina causa biture vel inspetebus cause impressionion enti strain dila dat io nim muchi dorum". it translated to "
the catumest, or in the retina, because of a strain, or because of an inspection, because of the impression of being strained, it gives me much pain". i dont know why it only translated in latin, when in the files of theyaremanycolors, the voice clip's title has "italianstutter", yet it still only translated in latin. i'll give you an update when i figure out more

Black - Isolation, locked up.
Red - Rage, Hatred, Mentally Insane.
Green - Hallucinations, Hearing stuff others can't.
Cyan - Confused, Physically Insane.
Blue - Sadness, Insane.
Black (Glitch) - Left the room.
I think Black was when they felt like they were locked up.
And Black (Glitch) was how they got out. By VIOLENCE.
