Thank you for sharing your kiln opening. : ) I bought my 1st kiln recently and haven't even started to figure out how to use it. I wondered what kind of kiln you have because it seems like you had a LOT of pieces in this firing. And I also wondered what you plan to do with all the pieces you fired? And good luck separating that beautiful covered lidded casserole. 🤞

I have an l&l e23T. It does hold a lot! I do sell my stuff at a couple commissions locations. I do vendor events too. I was able to separate them!!! 🙌🏼 thanks for watching!!!

Make sure your clay got hot enough on that top shelf that it vitrified! I love the planters!! When using the new cosmos line of crystalline glazes you can not put a liner glaze inside or it will get the pitting that you see. Omg how funny I’ve never seen anyone else make mason jar trinket trays! I used my old mason jar stamps to make mine. 😊 love the glaze combos on the mugs that ran. What glazes are those? Be sure to make some really thin thin cookies to put under your refutes as well as anything you’re using new glazes on. If you kiln wash them they won’t sttick and are easy to just throw away. Cant wait to see your kiln load of overglaze decals!! Great kiln opening. I hope you were able to get the lid off your baker! If there is any glaze stuck you can’t get it to pop off by putting in the freezer. Dremel is your best bet.

Vitrification has been very high on my priority list so yes I know that it is. I’ve been only getting cone 5 clay and porcelain to boot.
I know the cosmos has said that but I want to have it glazed for vases and such. Don’t know until you try! And there really wasn’t too many pitting issues.
The mug that ran was Norse blue with aurora green and a smidgen of light flux. I will just dab aurora on it and since it already that much, for sure will not skip the cookies!
I haven’t had time to work on the baker yet but I was going to drimmel it then freeze and hope small taps of a mallet will work! Made me sad!
I am new enough to still make mistakes but I’ve immersed all my spare time the last 3 years to learning as much as I can. I love the comments! Thank you!! Hopefully I’ll have the 2 camera figured out for next time! 😜

@@PotterybyNatalie I’m so glad you weren’t offended by my comments. Just trying to help. I’ve been doing this since the late 80’s! I try and share whatever I can so people don’t have to make the mistakes I did! This was way before TH-cam etc! Also, if the clay is fully vitrified it doesn’t have to be glazed on the inside. I know people have a problem with them not being glazed inside. So I don’t know if that would work for you or not.

Then give all the info you’ve got! lol I really have researched a ton, taken classes etc so I know quite a bit but as I’m sure you know, there’s always more to learn! And it takes a lot for me to be offended! 😂
