I totally understand every word you wrote..I grew up in north carolina moved to southern CA, that was the only way we lived..What I have replaced" what I missed in church..Got into Nature more.. Meditation.. Soundscape And olds school gospel music. tea candles..Lots Of Praying and letting go of drama in my life. I have been "Bless God Is Coming Through In A Different Way.. Blessings Always To You And Family ❤️

😊 you're too comments really touch my spirit I remember when Mama got saved sanctified and filled with the holy Spirit and how she spoke in tongues when the spirit would descend on the church it scared me because I didn't know but I could have saved myself a whole lot of pain I remember the old-time spirituals soon as my feet strike those old-time spiritual songs that she used to sing I asked mama what did she do in church all the time call she went to church every day she said I'll be praying I said praying praying for who she said something I would never forget she said I'll be praying for everybody when my mama died in 1972 people from all over the country came to see my mother off the funeral was so big they had to have the police force directed traffic we was the poorest people in that church there was two funerals one in Ohio and morning Georgia I'm not ashamed to say when I hear SM lockridge speak it brings tears to my eyes I look forward to meeting Paul and the apostles and Moses but most of all my Lord and Savior Jesus when I meet the Lord Jesus I'm going to fall at his feet and thank him for his blood and thank the holy spirit for his guidance but most of all I don't think the holy Father for sending his son that he might die for us May the most high God blessings are in save us all and bring us all to the knowledge of who God is and what he's done for us thank you Jesus
Hearing him for the first time and I sent it to my family and anyone who would listen.
That's exactly what I did. The Holly spirit speaks in him.
I've listened to all his sermons that Ive found to exist and repeatedly continue to do so. I've learned so much and has edified me. I can't find any books or written articles.

Shalom aleichem Wayne! Well said and having grown up under the tutelage of Dr. Lockridge and having him as my mentor in the ministry, I can tell you that he prided himself in being a teacher that happened to have the title of preacher. Not only did he teach us inspired messages on Sun Worship Day mornings (am now Shabbat observant), he was a willing and able teacher at all times. As one of his associate ministers, my father hosted he and Sister Lockridge on many occasions and he taught us even in those environments. I've long since moved on from San Diego, he has long since left this earth, but I still reference his lessons in my teaching, in talks with my wife, and when I was raising my children. Truth is truth and has no expiration date. Baruch haba bashem Adonai, "blessed is he who comes in the name of The Lord."

Amen I love it when a I receive a Ministering Spirit, like Dr. Lockridge, I am feeling blessed by Jesus Christ today through you in Posting this, there are Angels who minister! I've heard Pastors Ministering Spirit, That I knew in life, who have passed on, Come through in how New Babes were relaying The Word of God, to me and others.
Matthew 4:10 Then saith Jesus unto him, Get thee hence, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve.
11 Then the devil leaveth him, and, behold, angels came and ministered unto him.
Pastor Lockridge was in a Labor of Love, and is still doing what he loves for God Amen.

I too was raised in Calvary Baptist Church at 719 Crosby Street at the foot of the Coronado Bay bridge in San Diego CA. My father was one of his many associate ministers as was his twin brother, my uncle. Pastor was my mentor in the ministry and I find it amazing that Yah brought me to his home state of TX for the latter days of my earthly existence. Although I am now a Messianic teacher and no longer "preach," I still find inspiration in his obedience to our Abba (father). Pastors sermons are timeless, which let's you know they are inspired of Adonai Eloheinu (The Lord our God). Be blessed this day!

Thanks for sharing. Great sermon. The part about the disciples asking Jesus to teach them how to pray really drove it home for me. I never quite thought about it in this way. Come to think of it, He retired to the Mount of Olives to pray in the evening and in the morning. They must have associated Jesus' dependence on the Father with His constant contact with Him through prayer.
Everything about Yeshua's walk amongst man was about being a living example of his Torah, his Word. Amen to your thoughts. Remember what he often said, I come not to do my own will, but what the father has sent me to do. He even state that he spoke not his own words, but what the father has "given" him to say. This is the best video I've seen on youtube, God Truth. S.M. Lockridge, is my uncle, was Pastor of Calvary Baptist church San Diego ca was President of the southern Baptist Convention. He was to me, was the best pastor I have ever heard, growing up it felt like John The Baptist spirit was in is hold life. He was bigger then life when he preached, the atmosphere changed you actually felt the holy spirit, and I believe even 8f you weren't a believer, you still felt the holy spirit. If you put on that sermon close your eyes and just listen,,,, you can hear God the holy spirit speak to you. I can go on and on..

We need more preachers like him. Praise God Almighty! The churches here in Alabama are dead.
The difference in the preaching today in most churches, and this pastor preaching this great message in yesteryear, is they knew and believed their Authorized King James Bible was & still truly is the very words of God! This has been universally acknowledged so for over 400 years now. Yet many today are changing over to Roman Catholic approved modern "trashlations" just before Jesus returns! Amen, Amen, & Amen!!!
If you have yet to do so, learn a bit of the divine language and study scripture from it's original language, Hebrew.
BTW, Pastor Lockridge, my pastor, studied from numerous sources which is why he was able to relate to folks of all backgrounds and belief systems. He taught all over the world and in places that folks are not even allowed to hear the words of scripture today.

He was even more powerful in person. No question he was guided by the Ruach Hakodesh (Holy Spirit). I grew up in Calvary and he showed a consistency that you don't often see today!
