    About: Over seven sessions, instructors and certified arborists Rob Swanson and Kay Evanovich will help attendees prepare for the exam with talks covering Tree Biology, Tree Identification, Soil Science, Water Management, Tree Nutrition and Fertilization, Tree Selection, Installation and Establishment, Pruning, Tree Support and Lightning Protection, Diagnosis and Plant Disorders, Plant Health Care, Tree Assessment and Risk Management, Trees and Construction, Urban Forestry, Tree Worker Safety, and Climbing & Working in Trees. Attendees will also learn about eligibility for the exam and taking the exam.
    STUDY GUIDE: Attendees should read through the ISA Arborist Certification Study Guide (not included) to prepare for the review and the exam. The Arborist Certification Study Guide is available at www.isa-arbor.com and www.amazon.com. Attendees will be responsible for completing their own application for the exam.

    You guys really need a playlist with all these in order
    I see you commented they are all labeled but your video titles don’t clearly distinguish chapters. Im trying to make a playlist in order for you but cant find some chapters gotta bounce around in the videos to try and find whats covered.
    Please take the time to make playlists.

    I’m listening to this course before my BCMA test and while my test is more about situational problems and how you work with them refreshing on basic tree information is such a great thing to do. Thank you for having this info available on the TH-cam platform for us!

      You about to be a tree god. One of my good friends was a BCMA and I called him the tree god. I’m just a tree nurse as an arborist. Lol

    Did anybody else catch the Juglan that was misidentified as Catalpa in the leaf arrangement section?

    So I am studying for the ISA Climber Specialist Test. I have a lot of the other books they recommend. Do you happen to know if any/all/a lot of this info will be on that test. I am having trouble finding a comprehensive study guide/reference.

      They are all labeled so should be easy to filter through them, but they are in order of our agenda for our prep class

    Quick question, on the MADHorse slide for Alternate leaf arrangement, Ms. Kay mentioned multiple times that there are only 5 plants that have this leaf structure, but there were only 4 on the slide. I did a quick Google and found this. I could have missed something, but I wanted to double check.
    "MADCapHorse is an easy way to remember trees that have an OPPOSITE branching pattern: Maple, Ash, Dogwood, Caprifoliacae (honeysuckles and viburnums, mostly shrubs) and Horse Chestnut."

    Do I have to be a student in Georgia to be able to qualify for your student membership? I'm in California going to college at the moment but the material you guy's put out is the best I've seen on TH-cam. And what would I need to send in to prove I'm a student?

      There is a program that will take the audio from TH-cam and put it into an MP3 format. I forget what it's called but I'm sure you could look it up

    Okay. At 2:33:10 she calls the tree with a compound leaf a catalpa. That is incorrect. That tree is a black walnut. Catalpa leaves look totally different, and they even included a black walnut in the picture.

    I passed the Arborist exam from just the ISA study guide, to pass the utility I need 10 ansi books along with the study guide?

      We are working on finding an instructor for a prep course, like this one, only for the utility specialist exam. You are not the only one that we have heard this from..

      confusion with common names, but you are both referring to Magnolia tripetala aka umbrella magnolia also commonly called umbrella-tree

    Generally, this is a great study guide/tool. But this guy mixes up A LOT of terms throughout his presentation which could be confusing (a few times when describing primary and secondary growth, respiration/transpiration, phloem/xylem, etc.)
