    Looks great!!!! If you're young 25-35 and lost this much. You did the right thing. Save some donor hair incase you lose more as you age. Hopefully by the time you get to be 45 there will be a proven stem-cell hair growth treatment. Which is in clinical trials in Japan as we speak. I'm 47 and a Norwood 2. My hairline has been receding since my 20's but at a very slow rate. At my receding areas my hair has fallen but none of my hair is thinning. I am considering a transplant and I went for a consultation 2 years ago. The doctor told me hold off until your 49-50 and lets see where I'll be. If I feel like I need one I will go for it. Well good luck with your hair journey. Keep growing and take care, cheers

    I've exactly the same bald lines that you had before the transplant. My only doubt regarding doing or not a hair transplant is what if I start losing hair in the mid of the head? Can the doctor preview this before surgery?

    • @Gabiche
      @Gabiche  5 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      Nobody can predict whether or not you're still going to have a big hair fall afterwards. But I went with the worse case scenario where I could go completely bald in a couple of years. Therefore I only did a small session. This way, I still preserved a lot of donor hairs on the back of my head. If one day I wish to do another and bigger hair transplant, then I still can! And if my hair fall really stabilized with time, I can even lower my hairline a bit more. But that's just optional. Hope this helped and good luck with your journey!

      @Gabiche  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The doctors only asked me to use Minoxidil, which is pretty safe to use, as long as you respect the dosage. However, I heard a lot of people telling me I should go on finasteride. But as you may know, there are some side effects with certain people. I personally prefer not to risk it, but this is a personal choice and it should always be discussed with your doctor first before taking it a first time. Hope this answers your questions. Wait I have a question:
    So transplanted hair can never fall out?...
    What about the areas of hair thats natural hair will they fall out while your transplanted hair stays? wouldn't that look weird?

    • @Gabiche
      @Gabiche  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, almost all the transplanted hairs will stay permanently. Therefore I decided to do the smallest session, to preserve as many donor hairs as possible, to gradually implant more when I'm losing more hair loss. As I was only 23 when I did my first hair transplant, I'll probably do a second one in my 30s and a last one in my 40s. So you have to see for yourself, as long as your hair loss isn't stabilized, you might follow along to not have those "bald spots". But it really depends from one person to another. You can always ask your doctor as well to have his professional opinion. Wish you all the best.

    • @Gabiche
      @Gabiche  5 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Congrats on getting your hair transplant done as well! I'm sure you will be very satisfied with your results after a year. But of course, at first you will have a 'different head' for a couple of days/week(s). I think that the first 10 days are the worse because you still have a lot of dried up blood crusts on your head. But once they're gone, it's becoming more and more unnoticeable that you did a hair transplant. However, it will still take some time before it's fully grown. Personally, I found that after 2-3 months, people don't even notice your 'new hairline' because it's already integrated with your natural hair :) Hopefully this answers your question and let me know how it went with your intervention! Good luck bro! 👍

Once I had sent the pictures of my head on the website, the next day I already received a reply from the clinic with their proposed session for the hair restoration. And if it seems good for you, you can reply them by asking for an appointment. And that's it. There isn't much paperwork (that's more for the day of the intervention). Now, I asked somewhere in January to have my surgery during carnaval holidays, which was in March this year. But I think you can have an appointment much sooner. I was 23 🙃 I only went for the smallest session to preserve as many donor hairs as possible for future corrections. So I didn't want to wait until I was 30 and completely bald to do a transplant. This way you gradually go along with your hair loss without worrying about losing too many donor hairs 😉 if you want to know if you're ready for a transplant, contact the transplant clinic (and don't ask your friends) the doctors know better if it's too early or not. hey, how long after a HT can you go back to normal without appearing bald ? you say 1 month, that includes using toppical fibers to hide it :) ?

    • @Gabiche
      @Gabiche  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes I would say 1 month for that "short shaved look". Of course, you can't have hair down to your shoulders in such short time for example. But I personally became less ashamed to go out after a month. Fibers could eventually help, I personally didn't try it, but the look will be already a bit better I think. However, the moment the transplanted hair becomes a bit longer and blends with the natural hair, is when it becomes very unnoticeable. @Gabiche  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@RageClash The reason why I started losing my hair was purely genetically. I tried multiple things to prevent this from happening, but unfortunately my hair just kept on falling. At first I was also thinking about waiting until I lost all my hair before doing a hair transplant. But at 28 your balding is perhaps not stabilized yet. You will probably continue to lose more hair, even until your 40's or later! Personally, I couldn't walk around for so long anymore with a balding hairline. Also, the contrast would be huge; friends and family will know you as someone with not a lot of hair, and suddenly one day when you are older, you will appear with a head full of hair again. People will find it a bit shocking at first to see such a big difference. I preferred the more discrete way. And yes, I'm aware that I will probably need to do a second hair transplant in 10 years. But this is a personal choice of course and everyone should respect whatever you want to do. You do what feels right, I'm just giving my thoughts on this, and if you have any questions, sure ask :)

If you wish to know the prices for a more regular transplant, I've summed it up over here: th-cam.com/video/Rs4iah9-jYU/w-d-xo.html Please note that those prices are only for a DHI transplant (not fue or fut) and for the DHI clinic located in Paris. Yes I use it myself, it prevents the natural hair from falling less faster. I would suggest that you try it out with very small doses and if all goes well you can continue. I did some research and perhaps in the near future we will all use a different medicine that is being tested at the moment, this new medecine shouldn't have any side effects! But in the meanwhile, I think using a bit of Minoxidil can already help and it doesn't have as many side effects as other products. I hope this helped. The natural hair right behind my transplanted hair will continue to fall indeed. I slow down the hair fall as long as possible by using medicine against hairloss. Eventually, I will go for another hair correction if the hair continues to fall. But I was prepared for this "worse case scenario". That's why I only did the smallest session available to keep as many grafts as possible in the donor area. This way I can still do multiple corrections in the future and evolve at the same time with the balding until the hair fall stabilized. Also, I preferred enjoying my 20's with a decent hairline. You could see in the video how my hairline was already receding a lot at the age of 23... I'm now 24. Hope this answers your question 😉 Cheers!

    All Minoxidil products gave me massive DANDRUFF and burned my scalp. Dandruff shampoos helped a LITTLE, but they will also dry your scalp. I ve tried both liquid and foam and experienced the same side effects. I followed the directions with great care. I wonder if the inflammation caused by Minoxidil is making my baldness worse?? I will reduce dosage and apply once per day. I'm sure it's the alcohol and other delivery agents they use that causes this. Why can't they make a better, more soothing version that actually conditions and moisturizes the scalp??? Good luck to all of you. If my head still hurts, I will try rosemary and peppermint oil mixed in coconut oil. We can fly to the moon and split the atom, but we can't (won't?) cure baldness!!!

      @@plamennonchev7422 it depends from one person to another, but in my case it was totally fine. If I would have waited until I was 30 or older, I would already be quite bald. People would notice immediately a big difference before and after the surgery and it could be quite a shock for my surrounding to see me from "bald" to suddenly having "tons of hair". However, I decided to go gradually with my hairloss by having every 10 years smaller corrections. So I started with the Small Session to preserve as many donor hairs as possible (around 800 grafts so I still have a lot of donor hairs) I restored my hairline for now and I can enjoy my 20's with more confidence and happiness. In my 30's I'll be ready to go for another correction if needed. As long as it goes gradually and it's discrete without people noticing it. But if you prefer waiting til your 30's that's fine too! The doctors did this on purpose to not leave any mark on the donor area. Imagine if they extracted all the hair from one specific spot, I would just have a big bald space on the back of my head, which would look strange. Therefore they used a big area to extract hair every here and there and they've put it all together on my implanted zone where I already was becoming bald. So it's normal that the size isn't the same. Hope this explains your doubts. Cheers

    Does donor area recovers for other sessions?

    • @Gabiche
      @Gabiche  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      It will definitely recover in each session. But do you mean if the recovery of the donor area stays discreet with each sessions as well? Now, I can only speak from my experience with the small session that it's almost unnoticeable to see any difference before or after on the donor area. And normally it would be the same result with larger sessions. But I never did a larger session myself so I have no idea to be honest.

    • @ilkoiliev5551

      @@Gabiche I mean will the donor area recover so you can use it in time for another session if needed.

    • @Gabiche
      @Gabiche  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@ilkoiliev5551 oh, I get what you mean! Well, you have to be careful with the donor area. The hair that you can donate is limited. So once the hairs on the back is pulled off, on the exact spot where the hair was extracted, there won't grow any hair anymore. Forever. That's one of the reasons why I only did a small session, to preserve as much donor hair as possible - if one day I wish to do another hair transplant, I will need enough donor hairs. That's why I couldn't lower my hairline more. Well, I could, but I risk to lose a lot of donor hair that can be more useful in the future. So be careful with that. Was this the answer you were looking for?

      Only the implanted hairs stay permanently. My natural hair right behind it can still fall off. I might do another hair transplant in 5 or 10 years from now, until my hair loss is stabilized. But in theory if you do a fully complete hair transplant at once, well yes, you won't be bald anymore! 😉

    why did you have an FUE? and not an FUT? At your age I would have recommended you first procedure as a strip FUT, then also your second procedure as a strip, and then if you need a third your donor area will be 100% complete for harvest for an FUE, several FUE procedures will leave your donor area depleted, with a strip surgery the strip is closed and your scalp stretches slightly and you still have a 100% donor area to go back to. I've had two FUT's over 10 years, my hair restoration was not dissimilar to yours, Im so glad I had that procedure because Im now thinking of a third, Im in my 50s, my donor area is still looking 100% so I could have an FUE now as a final procedure. I think anyone under the age of 30 should be looking to preserve that donor area as much as possible, with a view to future procedures, anyone under 30 who has a hair transplant will be chasing their hairline till around 45 years old. That is why I'd recommend FUT, that was the advice my surgeon gave me first time around, Im glad I followed his recommendation. I think your result is pretty good , but at your age you will still lose hair as the years go by so I would imagine you are looking at a few more procedures.
