@@sleverlightSame. I just started last week and already make a display stand for my yugioh cards. Incense stick holder. Hatstand out of a tree branch. A perch for my dove and parakeets. And now I'm one to make my momma a box. This is so fun bro.
I wish I could frame a house with some of this joinery. Aside from the exterior sheathing I probably wouldn’t have to buy but 1 box of framing spikes. & the structure would probably last well beyond my great grandkids!
@@dustylumberco OK I thought that was a bandsaw but I didn’t know the other two and I didn’t even know they had a hollow chisel that is amazing! Thank you
I'm pretty sure this dude could produce the same joinery with a simple circular saw and chisel. Where as I couldn't come anywhere near his skill even if you gifted me all the equipment. Mind blown 🤯
@@proknifesharpening Yeah for sure. It's too much work without power tools. If you're making furnitures just for yourself may be investing in an array of tools would seem a bit wasteful, but as a profession, it's just not gonna work in this day and age. I'd argue you probably can get very close to preciseness with sanding, but the time difference is just ridiculous.
I don’t understand out of how many of these shorts I’ve watched, you still are pulling out more ways/patterns to make these joints😱👍🏼. Love the content man keep it up! I can tell you definitely worked hard to get where you are and never lacking quality, and also after I’m sure years of building your workshop you appreciate the effort that went into it by keeping it looking so clean. Some people would say you don’t actually do any work because of how clean your shop is, but I see someone who truly appreciates what he has. Makes me realize I need to better take care of my stuff, even if it isn’t the nicest stuff out there!👏🏼👍🏼
Thanks so much! Yes it took quite a few years to get the shop equipped like it is and I try to keep it as clean as possible as it’s way more fun and safe to work in a clean shop 👍

THEY SAID DRILLING SQUARE HOLES WAS IMPOSSIBLE. WHAT THE HELL DID I JUST WITNESS. But seriously, I've never heard of a broach and drill combined for wood. That's absurdly awesome.
Chisel mortise. It’s a square chisel with a drill bit in the center. As you pull down the drill bit removes a large portion at the center and by pulling down the chisel is able to clean up the corners. They’ve been around for as long as square mortises have been used.
@@stumpbumpers Not really, square mortise predate them by over a thousand years, it is why the regular flat wood working chisel even exists, to square up the hole and flatten the edge.
@@alexistaylor969 It was a loose statement, not a factual claim. A chisel mortise was used at the same time, just not with a drill bit, if you just want to argue about something.
you do not get enough recognition for these kind of videos, I'm not to sure if most people would understand how hard amd complex some of these joins are, when I was in school I found it hard to get a dovetail join right 😂
Slow down Skippy. With all due and deserved respect for this man, there are masters out there who do this with hand tools. Those are the world leaders in joinery.
I think you grew up loving puzzles and said
"I can make joinery out of this" 🤣
Good stuff, man
Appreciated 👍
Super video
for the real
Well said lol plus dude is special #Talent 🔥
So true..
I love his work/ideas...
I never get tired of watching square hole drill bits doing their thing.
Art!
I love how happy bro looks doing his thing and sharing it with us all.
And when they all fit together it's the most *satisfying* moment ever.
If I had all the tools you do I would never leave the workshop. Keep up the good work 👏
ffs are you living under a rock
@@ucmeytsc7302...are _you_ living under a rock made of gold? lmao
you dont need complex tools, you can do this with a saw, and chisels, still trying to figure out, just started woodworking

Very solid joint. Definitely one I will remember for next years exposed timber frame work
