the reason why you can see games but cant play games is because this is the page for people that played as Guests, when roblox removed them, the ability to play it got away too, so you can just browse it very low

someone could likely reverse engineer the current roblox app and find a way to hook it up to the 2016 apk

@@ItzFireyYo no because guests were removed in 2017 and every version of roblox that used to have guest play got that featured broken
its not the page for guests, the error shows that the webpage attempted to redirect to market://details (the launcher url for the google play store) when clicking the join button
this means that its still using the same html from current roblox (probably s or some android function) and it still has the functionality, it still notices that the person is using an android, so it tries to open in the app, or google play if they dont have the app, and it fails (its not a browser!!)

The old Roblox app was just a browser that opens the Roblox sites. As you can see at 5:48, this is an old error from like 2012 used in browsers for Android. It was used until 2018 when slowly browser creators introduced their own error screens. Some browsers still display this one (like the Roblox app).

It actually still uses the browser cuz sometimes when my Internet goes out I get the browser error.

A lot of people have actually modified the old client to have it fully working with all the new apis with Roblox android this gives you the full ability to use the app and play games

since MOST errors are caused by missing, removed, or outdated api links. i wonder what would happen if you decompiled and updated those links. because then, theoretically you might be able to get into games.

How to find your profile easily:
1. Join a group that has made a popular game that you can easily find on the 2016 mobile version (on alt device obliviously)
2. Search for that game on the front page, open the group and you should be albe to find your account in the members since it shows the most recent ones, worst case scenario you might have to scroll a few pages but overall it will take you 3 minutes at most.
I managed to get the 2016 roblox client working on ios 15.8.1 by finding a 2016 client on the internet archive and changing some values to bypass the upgrade screen. Looks a bit weird because modern roblox is still broken for me but nonetheless it works

Same, around 2009-2011 for me. 2016 still feels like the new era of Roblox for me, even though I know it's been ages since then. Probably because Roblox stopped being Roblox back in 2019-2020, it basically died in my mind and so I don't see it as a new era but the end of an era and the death of the platform. Sad times.

2016 was when I officially joined Roblox (around 2014-15 was originally when I first tried out Roblox) and it was the golden era of roblox
For the people who don't know and not even Sharkblox:
The Profile and the Catalog Items are just stuff that you can find on the new Website (in mobile), And it does not change any aspect of the website to 2016-2017 era style, it is only just the app itself.
