I love this hat, I've been giving then as gifts. I'm on my third one. I just wanted to thank you for the excellent well narrated videos. I've also made the Alpine hat for a ton of people and I so appreciate your patterns!
I made this last night after watching your video. I love it. But you sure made those back post dc’s look easy to do! I struggled with them and it took me several hours to finish the hat. It’s also a yarn eater. But I still love the texture and warmth of it. Thanks for sharing.
This is soooo pretty! I’m such a fan. You teach VERY WELL, my FAVORITE, Uber clear and tidy beanies are tastefully FASHIONABLE. thank you Fibrr Spider. Just one suggestion, measurements would be helpful too. I’m a beginner crocheter and the measurements of your pattern will help me estimate early on if I need to add, ie. is your sizing for large or medium adult. Thanks again. You’re the BEST 🥰
That is a really neat looking hat. I like it because it has some bulk to it. Way to go!! This will definitely be on my "to do" list! Thank you for showing how to make it. Pound of Love is great!! Have a good weekend.
Hi Craig, wow, what an adorable Pinecone hat. Thanks for sharing your Pinecone hat, it seriously does LOOK exactly like a pinecone. How fun. Hope you have a wonderful Rest of your night and a great and happy rest of the Month. Leaving you with much love and virtual prayers!

I just finished the large size Keyhole Scarf and I love it. I used a J hook and Lion Brand Homespun in the color Meadow. It is a bulky 5 yarn but It worked beautifully with the 52 row then larger key hole. TY. I love this hat too.
What a fun and awesome looking hat. Very appropriate name for it! Thank you for sharing this with us and as always doing such an awesome tutorial on how to make it. Merry Christmas dear friend.
Silly question, is it okay to use a magic ring and your thoughts on when you wouldn't want to use one. Oh, and Merry Christmas! 🎄 Hopefully it's not too cold where you are, it's a "bit" chilly here in Connecticut. ⛄ I love the way you thought of combining stitches to create the texture in your early rows. Neat way of using back post.
I always use a magic ring when a chained circle is used in a pattern. Just make sure to pull up tight, weave ends clockwise then anticlockwise before you cut off. The only time I didn't use a MR was when I was making snowflakes and wanted holes in the centre. I believe Craig prefers this or making all his stitches into one chain from what I've seen on his other videos. Like this hat.... It's like an acorn top too.. thinking kids fancy dress
@@FiberSpider thank you! I need to practice it for amigurumi. I have the Disney book/kit to work through for my niece (and princesses to figure out). She works at Disney. This keeps me in gifts for her for years. 😉
Thanks and Merry Christmas x

I have tried the magic ring method a few times and found it fiddly. Either work fine as long as you have the correct number of beginning stitches.

@@janhill2079 Thanks Jan. I've used it a few times but need to keep practicing.
