No doubt at all, this is one of the best comedy shows ever created, the actors are straight from the West End theaters and are so convincing they have us in stitches laughing. Comedy gold ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Poor Harry H Corbett. He never got many good acting parts after steptoe ended. Always had offers fr roles which were somewhat caricatures of ‘Harold! They were eventually forced to do a tour of Steptoe and Son skits in NZ which resulted in much bad blood between them. I think thats where the rumour that they hated each other started. I dont think before. Of course they had differences. Professional differences. They left us a wonderful legacy of one of the best british comedies ever. ! Great acting.
@@jessiejames7492 thank you for that info, It may have been because they were so convincing that people would only think of them as Harold and Albert Steptoe, "Arold" as old dad pronounced it.
What kind of fool am I? One of my favourite clips from this show. My go to when the chips are down and feeling blue. Never fails to have me back up again. ❤️
Always said that my favourite line from any comedy comes from this pair "One of these days someone's gonna stick one straight on you!......I just hope I'm there to see it😃
Made before i was born. Real classic. Love this comedy and ep and have to say nothing of today - No comedy AT ALL - comes anywhere close to this. Brilliant!!
Mark P C killed all our great comedy people Spike Milligan Bernard manning Benny hill never be comedians like these People we need to dump this P C if you don’t like it don’t watch it simple 👍😊
I remember when I first saw this I laughed so much I hurt myself ! “Sausage bacon and egg , 4 slices bread and butter “. Harold “yes and two cans of lager and liquorice all sorts all the pink ones “. Priceless
I laughed my head off when Harold pours the surgical spirit on his arse and the old man starts screaming, serves his bloody right for stealing the 2 tins of lager and most of the pink sweets.
got this in my video library to watch later I see it over and over soooo luv it adore every episode they ever made and the 2 movies too but this episode is my favourite.....
Galton and Simpson-legends! Hancock, Steptoe and Son, best comedy ever. These days the ‘pc’ brigade have taken over. God forbid we should offend anyone. People reckon I’m stuck in the 60’s-thank goodness!!
One of my fave episodes, got to love this show, the old man reminds me of my nan god bless her soul and Harold reminds me of my auntie their old relationship haha.
If you look at Harry H in the closing moments after he pours the surgical spirit in Wilfrids gooleys and the end credits, he is no longer acting, he crying hysterically with genuine laughter!!! Immortal comedy that will still be funny in 100 years time!!!
An amazing duo we will never ever ever ever see another brambell n particular his facial expressions were second to none and Corbett also was an extremely talented actor may they both rest n peace
These two actors and the excellent scripts make this equal to or even better than Hancock or Dad's Army. The best sit-com in British Television history. Harry H Corbett and Wilfred Brambell are brilliantly vivid in their roles and compliment each other perfectly. They are nuanced enough to convey humour and sadness at the same time. The content is hilarious but the overall situation is quite tragic really.
Loved it when Albert feels better, drinks the lager and eats Harold's Bassett's All-sorts,then Harold says, well it wasn't me,& it certainly wasn't the horse 🐎 that creased me up.
@@LoFiRecoverySoundscapes he meant the steptoe and son documentary and the curse of the Steptoe where they keep making lies that the two actors hated each other in real life
@James Henderson he wasn't a peadophile, he was homosexual, which he was arrested for by waiting for young men at a public toilet, back in the early 60's being gay was illegal and made legal from 1967, there is information anywhere of him being a peadophile.
This is why I live in a bungalow lol. Dust falling out of hoover so true..And the full bins, one job turning into many...The acting in this was superb, no catch phrases, silly set up ,good acting and dialogue.

“Perpendicular ponce” is the best line ever 😬😬

Love steptoe and son..Good 70's classic comedy..😂😂
Watched these when I was young.
They never get old
Same.... happy days
Why has no one produced writing or comedy like this nowadays?. This is an absolute classic of an episode.
It’s called political correctness unfortunately
To many snowflakes that get offended easily nowadays
Because its politically incorrect that's why.
@@garyturner5790 it is comedy...laughter is best medicine..
Back then it was a diffrent time an place , Now it's crap.
The part were he gets out of the bed to alter the volume on the tv and he starts dancing....HILLARIOUS!!!

Funniest thing Harold ever said throughout the entire run of the show plus specials and movies: 27:04 "What kind of fool am I?" 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Me & my sister used to love this episode as kids in the 1980's. We even used to copy the sweets scene 🤣
Yeah same as me. It was repeated in the late 80s and this episode stuck in my head. Classic episode
"That perpendicular ponce" LOL
Lol!! Omg! 6:12 when Albert called downstairs for Harold he sounded just like Howard"s mom on The Big Bang Theory.
Always cheers me up
